I've had this product for about a month. The front and rear speakers work well, and the sound is crisp and clear. I like that I can control everything from a remote, and these speakers do look sharp. And I LOVE the bluetooth function.
I gave this product three stars because the sub needs more power. By "more power," I mean it might as well just be a pretty light fixture. Even maxed out, it is extremely weak. And I don't like lots of bass. I'm not someone you'd hear driving down the street with the subs rattling your windows. But I do enjoy balanced sound. This system lears hard to the high end of the spectrum. In fact, it leans so hard that I spliced my audio wires to feed a second, older sub that I had stashed away in storage. With the two, I finally have the definition I wanted, but it's sad that I had to support this beautiful system with an old clunker just to balance the chirping. I wouldn't buy it again, knowing what I know now. If you like lots of treble, this is the system for you. If you want balance, keep searching.
This might work for gaming or watching movies, but I also often listen to metal and rock music, and the sound quality of this system is not sufficient for that even in a small room. Bass is OK, but certain voices (I tried Nightwish and Wind Rose) sound "metallic" (as if sung by a xylophone).
I guess I will have to return and get a higher quality but more expensive system like Z906.
This system is just "okay," definitely not great!! I purchased it for my garage home gym. Absolutely not loud enough to combat treadmill noise (which is not that loud, sadly). Each speaker is not capable of much sound output. And the wires are RIDICULOUS! I didn't think I'd mind because it was for my garage, but I was wrong. The wires are so long and so cumbersome; I quickly had a tangle. If you're looking for a good sound output and ease of wireless, this system is definitely not for you. In hindsight, I would not purchse again.
There rear speakers are SOOOO quiet. I've tried Star Wars, LOTR, and Harry Potter movies - all known for great sound. Front speakers and bass are great. Cannot hear rear speakers unless you hold it up to your ear. I wish they had independent volume control so I can balance it.
Got them today and have been testing them out. Everythings working fine, the sub seems a little weak to me. No sort of bass control on it either. Other than that everything sounds nice, all my speakers work. When you first plug them in with all 5 speakers, you'll want to note the button array on the subwoofer. There's a button that's labeled 'sound'. press that to switch from a 2 speakers to 5 speakers.
Could be better in a smaller area, not the best for a wide area at all. I don't feel the surround sound effect at all. The bass is great, but that's about all you hear. Having to use better speakers in place of the ones that come with it.
