Das Kabel macht an sich einen hochwertigen Eindruck, beim Auspacken musste ich allerdings feststellen, dass sich einer der Bananenstecker gelöst hat. Diesen habe ich dann wieder reingedreht und das war dann auch kein Problem, die Verbindung Box zu Verstärker ist stabil und ohne Aussetzer. Trotzdem die Frage: Gab es da keine Endkontrolle? Ansonsten machen die Kabel einen zuverlässigen Eindruck und wie schon erwähnt, die Verbindung ist stabil da und Klangeinbußen konnte ich keine feststellen. Die Kabelummantelung schirmt auch gut ab, ist allerdings auch etwas dicker, als bei Standardkabeln, was man beachten sollte, wenn man Kabelkanäle verwenden will.

Attention, certains borniers récents, n'ont plus le trou magique pour les fiches bananes... A vérifier avant, même si la politique Amazon de retours permettra de renvoyer a posteriori.

Le cable est de bonne qualité, avec des fiches vissées, un "V" entre gauche et droite qui laisse 10 bons cm et ne pose donc pas de problème pour enficher.

Reste l'utlité des fiches bananes : Pour une utilisation fixe, aucune à mon avis. Par contre pour les pros et les itinérants, c'est une autre histoire, et cela devient indispensable. Par contre, la longueur de 80 centimètres (donc 60 cms de longueur réellement exploitable) sera peut être un peu juste.

Je ne prononce pas sur le rapport qualité / prix, car le prix n'est pas encore connu quand j'écris ce commentaire.

Nice cables. Works fine. Only concern is the outside of the plugs are conductive. Be careful not to touch the black and red plugs while connected to a live amp. It could shut down if it has protection. If not, it’ll blow. I had to cover the plugs with shrink wraps.

Really good sound, I can hear the difference from my old beat up speaker wires. I took off 1 stat because of the ridiculous Amazon packaging. Open box to find 15 individually boxed cables each box had a plastic bag with the cable inside. What a waste of packing

Superficially, this is a well made speaker cable assembly terminated with solid banana connectors. It looks nicer than lamp cord and should dress up a home stereo. The banana connectors are convenient if your speaker has banana terminals (common) or if your receiver or amplifier has them. It’s a lot more convenient to simply plug in the wires than to strip, twist, and tighten. These are also described as being made of oxygen-free copper, something commonly seen these days in stereo and guitar interconnects, though few really know what difference, if any, there is between oxygen free copper and the stuff in zip cord and appliance plugs.

There are three kinds of copper found in electronic wiring. The most common, C1100, contains .02 to .04% oxygen resulting from the smelting process. It’s commonly used in microelectronics and other critical applications for its thermal and chemical properties, not its electrical properties. The lower grade of oxygen free copper, C10200, contains no more than .001% oxygen, and is electrically no different from standard copper wiring. The highest grade, C10100, has less than .0005% oxygen, and a conductivity that’s 1% better than the lowest grade. Does that make an audible difference? Good question. The banana connectors on this cable are made in three pieces (see photo), with the main body made of chromium plated copper or perhaps some other metal. Now chromium has a conductivity only one tenth as high as high as that of copper, meaning that a 1% difference in conductivity in the copper is probably insignificant.

But these are indeed well made, cost a reaction of what many “audiophile” cable do, and are a lot more attractive than lamp cord. That may be enough to choose them in your home setting.

I guess the idea of the low Oxygen is that copper can corrode in the air, and this may change the electron flow. Electrons which carry sound don't flow inside a wire, they actually flow around the outside. While I'm no sound engineer, I'd hypothesize that a corroded, wire may change the conductivity slightly and distort the electron flow and with it the sound, so having a corrosion free wire is a good thing. Gold is the best conductor, and doesn't corrode easily, so the tips plated with gold make for a great connection. Probably better than what you are plugging into which is likely aluminum female outlets. I used this for a nice speaker set up for a small stereo and some high end powered speakers and it worked good. Very clean sound, I detected no distortion, and the bass was very good which at my age is what I detect the most. Recommended.

So, I'm using these 3 ft. cables with a center channel Polk speaker in a 7.1 setup. The cable is a bit stiffer than the cable it replaced due to the protective casing since the actual wire is only 16 gauge I hope copper but otherwise I really couldn't say I notice any significant difference to the 14 gauge I'm using with the other speakers.

As it is, I already used AmazonBasics gold plated banana plugs and have done so for several years without incident, not that I would expect there any incidence with any flavor of banana plugs to start with. I am not of the school of thought that comparable accessories from high ticket manufacturers like Monster provide enhancement to match the price so for my needs, these cable will do just fine.

3-foot version here. I won't tell you how these sound because I probably couldn't tell the difference between this and lamp cord, though I own plenty of high end gear. So onto the physical aspects: Solid, heavy and polished connectors with gold plated banana plug, gold plated screw and silver polished barrel. Each is marked with a red or black washer. Cable is marked but gauge isn't specified.. I'd guess these are not thicker than a 16 gauge. The main sheath is more than 1/4" thick then heat-shrink wrapped where its' cut to expose the two inner cables. CL2 rating is meaningless for short runs.. though good if you run longer lengths through walls. The ends can be removed from the cable if you wish to make a change.
