TL;DR: Awesome sound, but with way too much cost cutting by way of build quality, which lead to very poor sound in 1 ear for me, defeating the point of high sound quality headphones... (Pros/Cones List at bottom)

These headphones, delivered awesome sound, with a little getting used to (a bit Bass heavy at the start), and despite being naturaly quiet, really shine at higher volumes. I would have loved to give these a positive review, but there is 1, maybe 2 glaring faults...
Firstly, upon taking these out of the box, having just payed £150 for them, I was hoping they would be well built... coming from my HyperX Cloud2 Headset, I was expecting a simelar build quality, but unfortunatly, the metal used on the headband is very thin, to the extent that I could probably bend it in 1 hand if I tried (I am by no means strong), and as others have stated, the rubber coating cable and inline volume controls are what one could reasonably expect from a headset of 1/10th of the price (I actually bought a headset for £20 recently and they had a better quality cable, and controls...) Now I am happy to look past this, as headphones should, first and foremost deliver high quality sound, which these definately did (although a little heavy on the base, depending on taste) and minor things such as build quality dont tend to matter once they are on your head, out of sight, and sitting happilly in place. But with these I have reason to believe that the build quality has caused them to develop a fault in under 2 weeks of use...
The Fault in question is the sound has lost all sharpness in the left ear. They are still usable, by all means, but again, having just paid £150 for a pair of decent headphones, having something like that happen within 2 weeks of unboxing is just not on... I have gone back to using my Cloud2 headset that is over a year old, cost under half as much and still work perfectly, despite me not exactly being gentle with them... I have not snagged the cable on anything, or bent it at the controls, or the conection at either end, dropped them or anything like that, so I can only put it down to cutting cost with interior build quality as well as exterior build quality.
I am using my old headphones with the same soundcard on the same settings, so I can confirm it is the headphones fault, and not a bug with the soundcard or anything like that.

If you want to risk them, as I did, be careful. I read the reviews and acknowledged that the build quality was going to be poor, but I was still disappointed when I first unboxed them, and I read the reviews stating that the earcups were a bit small for exented use, but still got annoyed that they got uncomfortable after a few hours...
All in all, if like me all you really care about is sound quality, its worth a roll, maybe I just got unlucky with a unit that slipped quality control for the left driver (...?)

Pros (I feel after that review I may need to give a bit of credit...)
-Very nice sound at high volumes
-Long cable (2m)
-Detachable Mic
-Lightweight (if you like lightweight headphones)
-Easilly accesable Mic mute switch inline
-Provides a 4 to 3-pole Y-Splitter to allow mic access via 2 3-pole ports instead of one 4-pole

Cons...
-Faulty in under 2 weeks of gentle use
-Obvious Cost Cutting:
-Frame feels cheap
-Cable feels cheap
-Inline Controls feel very cheap
-Large, Bulky 3.5mm jack (its 2x as thick and 1.5x as long as it needs to be...)
-Delivers very average sound at lower volumes (sounds slightly worse than my Cloud2 headphones when at a reasonable volume; need to crank the volume up to uncomfortable levels to get that decent sound)
-Earcups could do with being larger, or softer to reduce presure on ears
-All that is provided is headphones, Mic and a Y-Splitter for Mic (No alternate/spare earpads)

Great quality headphones, but still unsure about mic

As the title says, the headphones themselves are really good quality. The sound is great and has good amount of base. They also are very comfortable, which is a big deal for me, since I wear glasses and my old headphones pressed down on them, causing discomfort.
The microphone, on the other hand, I am still unsure about. It definitely sounds considerably different (to me) than my old mic and my friend's mics do, but I am not sure if it's better or worse. In a way, it sounds a bit more muffled, but that could also be the distance and position relative to my mouth, which actually matters a lot with this one. My friends say it sounds good, and one of them said it even sounds better than my old one, so they bought the headset themselves, so it might just be me. One thing to mention is that when I record my voice with the microphone, listening back to different kinds of headphones or speakers sounds different, so I assume the mic has way more base / treble(?), so the output gets affected depending on the quality of the playback device.

Overall: The headphones are really great sounding and comfortable, and the microphone will be good for majority of people

Firstly : I have just receive the set today, it looks cheap built was going to send back but had to try it first and found that its comfortable.

Secondly : plugged in and wanted to see the bass so I turned a music on, I felt i am in a night club the bass is amazing, didnt expect that, then jumped in to teamspeak to test the mic with mates they said much more better than before then logged into game and you feel like u actually in game its a great headset I hope it will last long.

Thirdly: I would recommend the set if you like to feel proper sound in game or music.

Great studio quality sound, a little bass heavy but you don't lose any mids or highs to get that bass. Comfortable for long periods and a decent mic to boot.

I was somewhat disappointed by the sound quality compared to my current sennheiser headset. This headset looks very nice but up close the materials feel quite cheap considering the price tag. I honestly would recommend searching for alternatives, unless these drop below £100.

Audio technica is one of the top audio brands on the market for audiophile headphones and this headset is nothing less than excellent. Came from using the Hyper X Cloud 2 and the sound quality with this is next level. From listening to high quality music to Gaming this does everything very well. Microphone is real good quality as told by friends on discord and teamspeak.

While i have enjoyed the sound of this headset, ive had it on 3 occasions and all seem to be let down by the build quality.

Volume wheel is loose and low quality, this sometimes randomly transfers all the sound to the left ear cup.

Such a shame as comfy and great sound quality.
