When the system arrived, three of the four satellite speakers did not work. The customer service rep kept insisting that it was due to bad speaker cable, and wanted to send me replacement cables. I finally convinced them that, since ONE of the four speakers worked, that couldn't be the case. After many hours with customer service, they reluctantly agreed to send me replacements for the speakers that didn't work. Today I received four CENTER CHANNEL speakers. I have now been on hold with Bose for far longer than acceptable trying to rectify this situation, and after over a week of trying to sort this out I still don't have a functioning home theater system. Bose customer service is horrible and they are not standing behind this very expensive product -- they're giving me the runaround and clearly their quality control is terrible since not one but THREE of the original speakers aren't working. On top of that, when you call them and finally get through and select "Lifestyle home theater system" they answer and tell you you're in the wrong department and put you back on hold. Do yourself a favor and skip this experience and buy something from a better organized company that cares about its customers.
Bose 650 ~ DoA: the unit is Defective & appears to be USED. Unable to get to Main Menu to setup the unit – Language is locked into Czech & can NOT be changed – can only view pix of install.
~~ Remote control screen is Dead & most buttons do not work. We drove 3+ hours roundtrip to go to the ONLY Bose factory store still open n South Florida to confirm we were doing everything correctly during setup – We Are!
I would expect used / damaged equipment to be sold/shipped by ‘eSwamp’ – NOT by Amazon. Extremely Disappointed! –Lawrence
Very Disappointed with this very expensive system. I should have done my due diligence and checked YouTube and the Internet for pros and cons before I purchased. All my video accessories that I connected to the system will not pass the highest quality video through. I can’t believe they are still selling these systems for full price. They all should be recalled and sent back to Bose. Buyer beware!
I was very excited for this product. It came in and I went to set it up and the rear speakers and subwoofer would not connect. I called Bose who gave very weak product support. All they had to offer was basically reset the unit and when that did not work they said call Amazon for a replacement.
So I called Amazon and they said they would send me a replacement as quick as possible. Well almost a week later and the new unit is not even shipped yet.
Horrible, horrible Bose product support. Very disappointed in Amazon as well. They used to be so, so much better when things went wrong. For $3,000 you would think this would go smoother. Find a different product.
Every night when I get home from work, the subwoofer is not working. I have to unplug the power and plug it back in to get it to work. I've tried both wireless and wired, and both have the same issue.
I called support back in December '16 and they said it was a known issue - and that the only known fix was unplugging. They said a software update was expected to fix it and they hoped it would be done within a month. It's now Feb 1 and IT IS STILL BROKEN.
Box arrived very quickly, packaging was good. Went through setup of console and front/back speaker, everything good, then got to the bass speaker...connected to console but no sound, then indicator light started blinking red. Called Bose and the unit inoperable. Have to box it back up an ship it back. They are sending a new unit. Apparently the QC was out the day my system was built:(
