El producto llegó con golpes en 2 de las 5 bocinas y con partes rotas en las uniones de los tornillos, así mismo los imanes se despegaron de las bocinas por lo que resultan inservibles, deberían tener más cuidado con los envíos

Es necesario tener un amplificador para poderlas conectar, tienen una muy buena calidad de sonido, el woofer responde excelente y el precio es muy accesible.

I am not an expert installer or sound tech, just a guy wanting to listen to music and movies so please know that this is where I'm coming from in writing this.

This speaker-only 5.1 system was EXACTLY what I needed, I had upgraded my family room AV receiver a couple of years ago and reused the speakers because I didn't want to fuss with the wiring but my old Sony receiver was still perfectly good and wanted to use it to add a system in my large bedroom. 5.1 Speaker sets are pretty expensive so I was really happy when I purchased this from Amazon.ca for around $110! What a steal!
The quality is really great and belies the cost. The speaker mounts are a nice addition, though are the only items that tell you that this is a value set; regardless they work and were easy to fit around the room. The cable connections on the speakers are the direct-wire type but the addition of a spring-loaded connector makes a secure quick contact a breeze.
The sound reproduction is really surprisingly good, and fills the room without any problem with plenty of power to spare - so I would recommend these even for very large family rooms.
If you need a nice looking 5.1 speaker set at a low cost - buy these.

These are a great inexpensive set of speakers - I was more interested in their bigger brother, but Monoprice doesn't sell them through Amazon.ca just yet and their final cost otherwise would have ended up being more than $300.

I don't even want to say that for the price these ones sound great, because they put out some deceptively great sound. The build quality is more than decent and extras like wall mounts are a nice touch. I bought some banana plugs to use with my amp but the pin type plugs you can get probably would not work with these speakers unless you're wall or stand mounting them (as there is no clearance underneath if placed directly on a flat surface). I also don't fully understand the situation where someone would need a left and right connection to a subwoofer, so I simply have my single subwoofer out on my amp running to the right input on the sub and it seems to work fine. I may replace it with a Y connector eventually.

My only complaint is minor, and that's with the subwoofer - it puts out an audible hum when there's no sound. It seems to be linked when switching inputs with the amp, but thankfully it's not a constant thing (thankfully!). The auto on feature works well and while it won't fill a big room it's got a decent punch to it.

Well I bought these speakers to replace my home theater speakers for my Yamaha amplifier. I read reviews before purchasing and all looked good. Received the speakers hooked them up to the amp (instructions in the box are very limited Cheap) followed Yamaha's instructions as the ones in the box were crap. Amp does not stay on. Works for about 2 mins and goes into standby mode or something. Tried hooking up with RCA's and high level inputs. All in all amp does not work and speakers sound is unimpressive. Back it goes.

I have to say, I read the reviews and CNET's listing as this being the best value 5.1 surround sound system under Monoprice's premium version of these. The sound is exceptional.
The only issue we've had is that the subwoofer won't engage all the time. We have to turn it off and plug it in again. We had it on 'automatic' but had to put it to on always as the auto didn't seem to work.
Other than that, great sound quality!

J'ai installé ces haut-parleurs dans mon cinéma maison et le son est excellent. Le son se compare favorablement avec des haut-parleurs beaucoup plus chers.

These speakers are GREAT. I have them connected to a pretty old Sony amplifier so its not the idea setup, but for the $90 spent they look and sound great. I suspect with a slightly better setup i could get even better sound out of them - Given what they are you have to turn them up quite loud to get that full, rich, room filling sound but again - i think thats the fault of my setup and not the speakers. Would buy again with no hesitation.

ONLY quibble i have is that although the satellites all come with mounting hardware ( which is basic, but tooootally sufficient ) the center channel does not, which forces me to have to put it on a shelf or something. The center speaker comes with two little rubber feet, so i reckon it is meant to sit on a surface and not hang from a mount, but imo it would be even more elegant and make it a 'perfect' system if you could also mount the center on the wall, right under the TV. Only thing keeping this from being a perfect buy.

Oh, and the sub looks and sounds sick as hell. Very happy with this set.

I have had this system just over two years now and it still sounds great. I too found that as the system "broke" in it got better and better. As many have stated, the quality of the product is great, and the price is hard to beat. While not a top end audio delivery system, it puts out an amazing sound quality at even the highest of volume settings!
