This product requires some learning as different than the Microsoft Office products. I use Office 365 at work, it is so temperamental with explorer closing randomly in mid use as does the Excel and Access programs. I have definitely learned to save consistently. They came up with Share Point - repeated the same depth and naming conventions they did in the nineties with folders initially. Teams I have to close and re-open constantly. My team is not a Teams fan. Years ago - okay decades - I used to use WordPerfect in the work environment. I thought a better product back then so am going back to it on my new personal home use computer versus the one I use to VPN to work which I match to the work machine in theory hoping to not have compatibility conflicts. Been unhappy with Microsoft since they have gotten unstable and snoopy with the sharing across platforms. Guess what - I have not had random closures using WordPerfect. It is better priced. Less temperamental thus I am way happier. One downside I noticed on conversion is some date and time fields in Excel lost their formatting but once I converted from Excel to the WordPerfect product and back again it held. I even tried to talk my wife into switching but she was concerned about the learning curve. I can use in WordPerfect and convert to Office should I share with another. Yes, there is a learning curve but I am way happier. Go retro with a stabile product you own versus licensing that has to be renewed and you do not know what is going to break/change next. Their change is not always for the best. You do have a cost-effective stabile alternative to Office 365 - it is called WordPerfect Office.
Generally a wonderful and complete suite. I used it years ago in business, but had to transfer to word because so many businesses were using what was packed with their computer, and they could not translate my files (I never had trouble translating their files though). Got this new one to convert some files for my husband who has never used anything else, and some of my older files that I could not now read. He loves his copy and I am using mine as time permits.
I got the package it was broken up so bad I could the cd out without opening the box. I place the cd in my new computer and it will not let the serial number go through. I tried it 10 times and keeps saying the serial number is wrong. I contacted thier customer support and i got was a case number. Have not heard back from them at all. Now I can not use the prodcut that I really needed to get some important paperwork one
No it didn't work. I have for almost 2 months been working with COREL's customer service and they were unable to help me. I tried all their suggestions and it would not work. Very, very frustrating!! I had even returned my 1st original purchase in an exchange for a 2nd copy and even received a downloadable copy from COREL. All 3 copies did not work and the customer service personnel from COREL couldn't get it to work. Very, very disappointed. John
WordPerfect is a superior desktop publisher that does not require you to buy multiple programs to make it work to its maximum. Originally created by two college professors, it's easy to learn and more powerful than you are likely to need. If you're starting out, you don't need to pay a bundle for Microsoft Office. You can buy WordPerfect and edit and publish Word documents or portable document files (PDF) flawlessly. Give it a try. You will not be disappointed. Be great, Darry D
I’ve used WordPerfect forever! When it finally corrupted, I started using the free Microsoft Word….2 years I struggled with it, started to get the hang of it, then I got a new computer & I had to buy it! Or subscribe to it! Price was ridiculous for a home computer. Then WordPerfect went on sale & I got it for a third of what Word cost. I’m thrilled to have my old friend back at such a good price
I purchased this to be a substitute for MS office. I didn't expect it to be as powerful as word, excell or PowerPoint. However I did expect it to be COMPATIBLE , it was not, when editing a word document with and saving the document as a .docx I expected that I could email it to someone and they would have no problem reading the file with MS office, they could not. I double checked with another PC having MS office and received the information that the file was corrupt and can't be viewed. Really disappointed.
Received the next day. My new computer wouldn’t let it download after many attempts. Called WordPerfect customer support and they asked for the download number. They sent an email with download site and had no problem with my computer. Works ok now but was expecting the hassle downloading the program.
