Excelente sonido

Muy fácil de conectar y hacer el set up por medio de la pantalla de la TV, tiene muy buen sonido y el up scale a 4K, el sistema esta conectado con 7 bocinas klipsch Reference SF y un subwoofer de 200 watts RMS Boston Acustic, mas que suficiente para un cuarto de TV mediano.

Después de instalarlo de acuerdo con las instrucciones y una vez que encendimos la TV el sonido duró apenas unos minutos y después el amplificador se apagó inesperadamente. La luz de encendido parpadeaba en rojo, encendía pero de inmediato se volvía a apagar. Después de revisar en foros y comunidades vimos que a veces se presenta este problema y que se debía inicializar de nuevo presionando dos teclas y el encendido. Nada funcionó. Para un Denon nuevo es una absoluta decepción, afortunadamente pude regresarlo de inmediato gracias a Amazon no imagino el tormento de haberlo comprado en alguna tienda departamental. Definitivamente manténganse alejados de este producto, no vale la pena.

Frustration and disapointment

I purchased a Denon 950 as an upgrade from my Onyko receiver which I still have. I've never owned a Denon but I knew it was a high end receiver and the sale price point was right for me.
I received the unit with great anticipation for finally owing a Denon with an excellent reputation. When it arrived I wasted no time to set it up and make all the connections including my cable box, 4K Android television, 4K bluRay player, Playstation 3 and 4 and my legacy laser disc player.
After powering up the unit I ran Setup and my problems began. After almost each stage of the setup process the unit froze requiring a reboot. I finally got to the speaker calibration section where I specified my speaker arrangement then the calibration began using the Audyssey routine through a small mic placed at strategic locations. This process froze after the first run.
I abandoned this process after many attempts and finished the remaining setups at which time they were saved. I re ran the speaker calibrations again but to no avail.
I was then able to connect to the cable box. Finally tried to watch tv for a while but when I changed the sound level for instance the receiver went through multiple internal steps before the volume changed. By the way the sound the receiver produced was excellent. Finally connected to my bluray player then connected to my PS3 but the receiver could not connect video to my PS4 but I did get audio from the receiver. Out of frustration I didn't try to connect my laser disc player.
After a few days I lost connection to my bluray player.
The on screen user interface and menus on the television almost appear to me like an old MSDOS display would look like, but that is just my opinion.
I was so disappointed that I sent the unit back in exchange for a Yamaha receiver which I received and set up flawlessly.
I definately would not recommend this Denon receiver. The problems I had seemed to me a mixture of hardware and software issues. I'm quite experienced with AV electronics and I have never seen such a problem plagued piece of equipment.

1:No sound was coming after installation
2: WiFi was not getting connected
3: After following the visual instructions when system was prompting to hear the sound from each speaker nothing was happening
4: No one was picking up the phone from the seller company

there was a problem with this unit from the get go. The audio kept muting when ever I paused or fast forward any thing on my cable box. I thought it was a ARC problem so went out and purchased new HDMI cables 2.0. Now my TV was actually in 4K but audio was still an issue. I even used a standard HDMI connection using digital cable for audio. The problem did not go away.I like the network interface, and all the features it offered. After toying around with it for 4 weeks, I decided it was not for me and returned it. I was sad because it was one of the top rated home theater amp for 2019. I went down to vision electronics and got a yamaha 780. so far everything works flawless with it, so I can only come to the conclusion that the Denon product I received must of been defective. Once bitten twice shy, I didn't want to take a chance on purchasing another Denon.

The two "Toslink" digital audio inputs do not work in this Denon a/v receiver. Purchased Asurion Insurance plan ... a pain to deal with, to date, their coverage is poor - none apparent Amazon.ca should do away with them. Amazon.ca did offer to replace the a/v receiver but this is problematic for this disabled person. But thank you nevertheless Amazon.ca .

Surround Sound System sounds awful!

Not impressed with the unit, my older Denon gave me much better sound. I still have not been able to set up this unit properly. My centre speakers are not working, the bass is all over the place. Watching TV on the theatre surround system is frustrating as the background music over powers the speaking to the point we can,t understand what is said. We have carefully followed all set up nstructions and have made several calls to the Denon Help desk but the problems persist. At the moment I am giving serious thought to returning the unit.

Comprei este receiver pela divulgação que conecta com alexa, mas a skill não está disponível pro Brasil. Forma apresentada pra conectar é mudar a conta do amazon pros EUA, pra baixar a skill. Não achei apropriado.

This is (I hope) a final update. Unit returned after repair NOT fixed. Problem made worse. I insisted on a replacement. I was give this after I shipped the defective unit back. They gave me "refurbished" unit that had only a 1 year warranty (not 2 like the new unit). Fought this. Two months after start of warranty repair issue, I finally have a unit that works (and hopefully continues to work). Just a very terrible experience.////This is a six-month update. The unit is at PanurgyOEM for in-warranty repair. COULD NOT get trough to Denon. No one answers phone and they don't respond to e-mail. Thank God I found Panurgy. I also want to change the headline for this post from Superb Product to Inferior Product. DO NOT waste your $$$ on this VERY different company. It's no longer the Denon of old. ////I'm a Denon AVR owner for over 10 years. AVR - S750H is a superb product. Easy to set up, much easier to use vs my older model, fantastic 4K image pass through, outstanding 7.1 sound! But DON'T try Customer Service: (1) They outsourced it to the Pacific Rim. (2) No one answers their 201 area Customer Service #. (3) If you take the option for them to call you back, you might hear within 3 days. On this model, you have to rotate the 2 WiFi antennas for best use. When I rotated mine for the first time, something inside broke. It's a $10.95 part that screws on. The Danon CS Rep told me that I had to contact my internet service provider for a new Wifi antenna. She didn't know the AVR had two of them, even tho I gave her the part number. By outsourcing, Denon has driven their Customer Service from World Class to (???) ... I don't know what to call it!

Had for 4 months. Woke up one day to an update error. Essentially bricked the unit. I would expect a new one to be sent out as replacement and they get the old one back. Nope. You send it off and wait for it to be repaired. I will not buy another denon product.
