Excelente interface,funciona bien ,100% nueva (obviamente), es mejor de lo que esperaba, es el mejor precio que hay en todo internet , inclusive que comprarla directamente de la página de Focusrite, ya que sale como 100 pesos menos aquí en Amazon , y si consigues algún cupón ;pues bajas más el precio.
Es muy fácil de usar y va bien con los programas que trae y con algunos otros como el archetype nolly(simulador de ampli de guitarra lo compré aparte), lo mejor incluye 2 años de garantía del fabricante (otras marcas ofrecen menos) , y responden rápido la asistencia técnica los de Focusrite.

Hay quienes se quejan de latencia alta, tengan en cuenta que tan vieja es tu PC porque los programas de audio demandan mucho procesador.

También hay quienes se quejan de ruido en los monitores o speakers, si le conectan un RCA obviamente va hacer ruido ,esos cables son ruidos por naturaleza, lean el manual !, La
las dos salidas de monitor son balanceadas .

Problemas de drivers en Windows fallas constantes.

Después de mucho investigar (Segun yo) me decanté por esta interfaz, la verdad es que cuando llegó me pareció muy buena, los pres son de buena calidad, la construcción se siente bastante solida, los componentes parecen de buena calidad. Pasadas unas semanas empezaron los problemas, comenzó a meter clicks y pops de la nada tanto en grabaciones como en reproducciones. Intenté subir el Buffer size pero seguía haciendo lo mismo o peor, la probé con otra pc y lo mismo.
Investigando me topé con que los drivers de windows focusrite son muy malos, se lucen por tener muchos problemas como estos. Es una lastima porque si e había gustado todo lo antes mencionado.
Tuve que devolverla.

Faulty and terrible customer support

The device does not function properly. The front does not light up and I can not use direct monitoring, air etc. I tried ever fix I could find online to no avail so I contacted focusrite support detailing the issue and received and email a week later telling me to install the drivers (obviously I've already installed and reinstalled them trying to fix the issue!). So I reinstalled them again which of course didn't help. I replied to focusrite letting them know the problem wasn't fixed and a week later I am still waiting for a response.

I understand sometimes you may get a faulty device but having contacted them and only received a cut and paste "install the drivers" response over two weeks is pretty dismal.

I've since realised the problem was a faulty USB connection out of the box. Focusrite never entertained the idea that it could be a hardware problem and essentially kept blaming my PC which is very high end and functioning well.

I'm sure the product is good when working at capacity but I was sent a faulty product and had to go through terrible customer service where they refused to acknowledged the fault. I would honestly never purchase another product from Focusrite after this experience.

I needed a clean sound on my pc for recording. I did a research and i came up with Focusrite. Then I bought it here on Amazon. Once arrived I realized there is no manual inside at all. I did connect to laptop and it doesn't work. I did contact support twice and I was connected to Amazon support team instead of somebody from their teach who can give a clear instruction. So no result as the Amazon support team didn't know how to do it. They just gave me a manual and i did try to follow steps but still didn't work. I needed to spent loads of time on youtube to just find out how to install this device so that I could use it. After puzzling and spending time , I did download drivers and I did set it up correctly inside my windows sound area. But still didn't work.

Also don't like the fact that they try to force you to register the device on their website for such a simple sound card. No reason to do registration for such simple sound card. It just should work correctly without these difficulties.

I wouldn't recommend this seller even though with loads of reviews they have got which misleaded me as well. It looks like they think just because they have loads of reviews they can forget the customers. I don't usually leave such review but this was really frustrating me and I saw a need to leave such review.

Conclusion: No manual at all, A very poor customer service, too expensive for such product and service, They try to force for registration

I've used a lot of audio interfaces, including the 8i6 2nd gen, which was decent but not perfect. When looking for a new interface for my new laptop recently, I went with the 2i2 3rd gen.

DPCMon flagged a few things to look at, but these were resolved before installing the drivers. Essentially, there were a LOT of artifacts in the sound once I began using it. I had to max out the buffer for the most part too. Tried a number of things. Goes to show that DPC latency isn't everything when choosing the machine and interface - although it should definitely be a priority.

After a lot of tinkering, I ended up testing my THR10 as an interface and it was IMMEDIATELY ROCK SOLID. This is @ 32 samples, too. The THR10 continues to be one of the best purchases I ever made. Still, it doesn't have mic preamps, so I will be looking at another audio interface for that purpose, for that laptop.

This 2i2 interface will no doubt be rock solid on certain machines, but not all. Same goes for my THR10, but I am yet to experience a machine that it doesn't get on with.

Returned to Amazon.

I have always liked Focusrite products, I had the saffire pro 14 until the firewire connection failed. I bought the Solo but was very disappointed with the audio hum on the mic channel. I returned that as Amazon didn't offer me a replacement and bought a 2i2 which worked fine unless you moved it slightly. The USB connection on the back was very insecure, I even tried one of my own cables but it didn't fix the issue so I have also returned that. Its time Focusrite focussed on quality of manufacture instead of relying on reputation. I'm moving to a different brand in the hope that I get something reliable.

Good - but flawed

Generally a good unit - however, like its predecessors it has a serious flaw. The Mini usb input at the back becomes more and more unreliable over time. The slightest movement can totally disconnect it ( even though it is still plugged in and lit up). The socket seems to get weaker and weaker over time - so unless you plan on having this interface static in/on a unit ,where the wire at the back is unlikely to get moved and stressed very often - be prepared to have this interface eventually fail on you more and more before it eventually goes totally dead and having to send it to focusrite for repair ( although the same thing will happen again). For such a potentially portable, good quality interface, it is badly let down by this design flaw.

Starting a podcast and want to be more professional, I can see that this was a highly recommended product from professionals, but if you are not professional like me, prepare your self for some struggles.

When you start using it or when you disconnect it, for no reason at all, the microphone stops working. I spent hours researching it on the web, and it seems that you have to click every time reset settings to get it to work, so annoying.

Now even Reset stopped working, this equipment is useless!

A bit disappointed. After reading the reviews I expected more. Overpriced in my view. better value for money elsewhere. ie Look at the Behringer USB Mixerfor instance, much less money, more options, flexibility and to my ears sounds better.

We use these for a community radio station, and has used the 1st and 2nd gen 2i2s for years without problems. They fail after 2-3 years of 24x7 use, but that seems reasonable.

However, the 3rd gen switches to a USB C connector with lightning, which requires a separate driver. In order to deliver this driver, the interface shows as a USB drive with the installation media. This causes the system not to boot if the device is plugged in. Focusrite also tries to get you to register the device and drivers with their web sites before the USB connection can be made.

The new driver is also dropping connection after extended periods. Look for gen 1 or 2 of this device if you aren't using it for short periods, and unplugging it after you are done.

Constantly crashing

Product was easy to set up and easy to use. The issue i find is that it crashes far too frequently. Can happen twice in five minutes while recording meaning the recording must start again. Along with that it sometimes crashes the DAW. My pc is an xps8940 so the only issue is the focusrite. Though the sound quality is good, the relentless crashing is a major negative and beyond frustrating.
