Great arm, even holds a Yeti (but ditch the pop filter)

EDIT: When I upgraded to a Blue Yeti which came with a Compass II arm, I put the Innogear arm aside. After just a few months, the Compass broke - its joint adjustments are made of plastic and could not withstand the spring tension. I put the Yeti and its shockmount on the Innogear arm and it works BETTER than Blue's own arm at keeping my Yeti where I want it - at a savings of $80. Awesome bargain.

This package came with exactly what the picture describes - a boom arm with desk clamp, an adapter for normal-sized microphone threads, a microphone clip, a windscreen for a Blue Snowball or Snowball Ice, and a pop filter that clamps onto the boom arm. Just a boom arm with clamp usually costs $15, a pop filter costs you $10-$20 depending on quality, and the Snowball windscreen costs you $12. So you're essentially getting 50% off in the sale price.

The boom arm was easy to assemble, clamp, and adjust. I used the included thread adapter with my Snowball, and I had none of the problems reported elsewhere about the threads not being tight enough. (They do include thread tape if you do experience an issue.) I added a microphone pivot joint I had separately and I find no problem in getting the mic where it's comfortable and easy to see over to view my game. The Snowball is a large, heavy microphone but the boom keeps everything right where it should be with no issues.

The windscreen was simple to put on, seems durable, hasn't slid or bunched up, doesn't even have any strong foam smell. My stream viewers and fellow gamers report that it also cut down a little of the echo in my game room. Cool.

The pop filter works well to further refine your mic sound. This is where I unfortunately have to dock a star. As other reviewers have pointed out, the gooseneck on the pop filter is really weak and doesn't hold the filter in place reliably. The clamp is also a little sketchy and the whole thing has started sagging when in use. I just took it off finally. It's also quite large, and I didn't care for it in a comfort sense while trying to game. I felt like it was always in the way.

Overall a great stand, but if you really want a good pop filter you might need to go buy one separately.

It's a cheap arm, yet, very effective. It definitely is worth more than its selling price. Only con I have is the pop filter. It droops a lot, and I would have to tighten the screw holding the pop filter once every 2 days.

Other than that, it's a really sturdy mount, the arm itself is adjustable and sits where you position it, no drooping, no weird actions. You move it where you want it to be, it'll stay there. This is definitely worth the price, can't go wrong with it, it's very effective, and quite a quality

This mic arm would be awesome if it didn't work itself loose from my desk every 3 days. I secure it, and it doesn't stay that way. If I stretch the arm out at all and retract it, it works loose from my desk. It's maddening, because it's almost fallen several times. At this point it's not a solution.

The boom arm and connector for the snowball work great. Zero issues there. I have it in a static location (don't movie it after getting it set up). There are only a few things on my wish list that would have made this product even better. I have an odd shaped desk edge, and so had to figure out how to get the arm to attach correctly. If the clamp were a little wider/deeper it would have helped. Second, I wish there were cable attachments so I could manage the usb cable from the mic to the computer -- tie it off on the arm (would have been a nice touch). Other than that, the product is as advertised and works as expected.

For the money this thing is pretty good but when it comes to long term use this product just isn't it. I'm not saying that because it breaks apart or anything because it didn't but the frustration is why I say its not great. The main issue that I have is that when you try to turn the arm left or right you need to keep the base that it slides into completely loose, this caused me to constantly have it shake or wobble when the mic was in front of me. What I had to end up doing is just taking the stand off of the clamp after I was done with it because of how painful it is to readjust. If you plan on using this for more than a month then I recommend going for more of a high end product, first thing that comes to mind is the Blue Compass. I cant really rate this product low though considering you're getting what you pay for.

Very good overall, and easily worth the price.

The goose-neck pop filter is perhaps not the greatest, since sometimes readjusting it can unscrew it - and there isn't a perfect spot to mount it either, so you'll be readjusting it every time you reposition the stand.

The base of the stand is probably the worst point of it, as turning the entire stand will grind a groove into the metal and possibly end up breaking it if you need to swivel it often. Easy fix I found is just wrapping the end in electrical tape. It might need to be redone every once in a while, I haven't needed to since I bought it though. I would much prefer to see a version with a better base, but aside from that there haven't really been any issues.
It does have a set screw if you don't need to swivel it, so it is good enough if you don't need that extra movement.

All in all, I do recommend it. It's worked for me quite well.

I have a big SM7B microphone on it and it works better after I tightened up all the nuts. You should also pull the springs on the wider lugs to increase the capacity. The biggest weak point is the desk clamp, which does not hold very well at all when you swivel it around. I simply drilled a hole through it and my table and bolted it in place. Again the SM7B is big and heavy, and you get what you pay for, so at a low price this stand is satisfactory.

I purchased this for my snowball mic. The mic attached easily to the arm but the clamp sucks. If you have a beveled desk it will not stay and I'm surprised that more boom arms don't come with a standing or screw on flange option

Overall this is a great bundle that I do not regret purchasing but there is some things to note,

-If you have a blue Snowball Original with the 3 settings There is no spot cut out in the foam cover to switch your settings so you have to either take the cover off or cut a hole where the switch is.

-The Pop filter is a little on the flimsy side so it will slouch a bit and it takes a bit of adjusting to get it right but its a good Filter.

As I said for $20 you cannot go wrong with this purchase!

I gave it 4 stars because of the pop screen. The arm is entirely too weak and too long to hold up the round pop screen (which for a small object seems to be a little on the heavy size itself). I found I had to keep fiddling with it, to get it where it would stay, way too much. The rest of the arm though is great. Nice sturdy, clamp to lock to desk is strong, it was easy to install the attachment for my Blue Snowball (see my review on that) and holds it up nicely. All in all great budget mic boom arm. Won't break your bank and will perform as expected. Just don't get excited about the pop screen, I don't even use mine anymore. Hope this helps you folks.
