Within 30 min of use after getting everything plugged in and connected. It shorted out/died on me. Now it REFUSES to turn on. It was plugged into a power strip that also has my tv and a lamp connected to it. Neither of which faultered or had anything happen to them when the sound bar shorted it out.

Very disappointed as I have been looking forward to this sound bar for a long time now.

*update* 12/25/21. I finally got it mounted on the wall and repositioned the sub. It sounds good despite looking like a previous return. I think the Wireless signal for the sub improved once the bar was on the wall, up higher than the cabinet it was sitting on. I’m giving it a 4 star now, taking one off for looking used.

Everything works so far but I obviously got a used or previously returned unit. The subwoofer has a dinged corner and this can’t happen unless you actually take it out of the packaging. It’s hard to fathom spending this much money for a used item. Next time I’m going to a brick and mortar shop to make larger purchases.

Update: 1/24. What a piece of garbage. Bluetooth goes in and out make the subwoofer unpredictable. LEDs stoped working. I’m not sure how to return it because I tossed the box out. Just don’t buy it

It is hard to know where to start, this system is " SECOND TO NONE " I have now tried (5) different soundbar systems, and there is NOTHING on the market as good as this... DO NOT BOTHER buying anything else. The sound is OUTRAGEOUS, BEYOND BELIEF !!!

The sound quality is great! Easy to install, bass is bumping.

BUT... a big BUT...

The soundbar automatically turns off. I was aware that it does that when there's no sound coming through for a certain period of time, but when I'm playing my music or watching my movie on my computer. WTF?? This has happened several times already, and it started after the 30 day return window. ALSO, it makes these loud click noises when it turns off and on, really annoying!! I guess I can reach out to Klipsch, but this is such a hassle.

Only using it for a few weeks now but so far its great for it being their entry level model. Sounds fantastic, surround sound works good for just a single bar and real wood looks so much better than plastic.

** update 10-06-21, i've had this almost a year now and i'm even more impressed with it now. The biggest thing is it just works, and it works perfectly every time. Just like how AirPods are a better experience than most other earbuds (with iphones) . ITs the pefect sound bar for under $300

As an owner of Klipsch heritage and reference speakers, I was disappointed with this. The sub definitely rocked, but this was not a “great”sounding system. I expected better. It was similar to a Yamaha sound bar that I have but the volume was also delayed when I turned it down or up.

Others may like it, but I didn’t.

I bought this sound bar to get better audio or of my bedroom TV. It sounds great for the purpose I use it. It gets loud and the bass thumps. Even the simulated surround sound name it sound like it is a 3 channel sound bar instead of two and fills the room well. A frequency filter would be nice so dialog would be bass heavy. But for the price and where I use it I'm happy.

I wouldn't buy this for a main TV in a larger room though. You will want to spend a little more money or get a home theater setup with a receiver and individual speakers.

This soundbar has pretty good sound quality overall, not too much coloration or overly bright highs.
However, the subwoofer is crossed over with the soundbar much higher than I expected, so is very easy to localize. This, unfortunately, means the ideal location to place the subwoofer is as close to the soundbar as possible. When the subwoofer is close to the soundbar, the system sounds pretty seamless. When you move the subwoofer to another part of the room (which is likely what most people will do, since it is a wireless unit), it stands out.

On the plus side, for the price you are getting a pretty nice upgrade in sound quality over TV speakers, and it is really good for music listening. The sub is a little muddy, but it digs lower than the subs on many of the more expensive soundbars. If you don't need a ton of fancy features, and can put the sub near the TV, this is a solid choice.

I bought this unit to replace a 10 year old LG soundbar. The LG unit cost roughly the same price but today's systems are much better. I was not interested in a high end surround sound system. I just wanted better sound from my TV and when streaming music. Mission accomplished. The sound quality is great and compared to my old system it is much brighter and much louder. My old LG unit wasn't worth listening to when playing music. Setup was straight forward and easy. I'm using an HDMI ARC port to connect to the TV. I also use the Dialog function for watching TV. It makes dialog audio sound more like it's directed toward you. It has a surround sound feature which doesn't do much. But then I didn't expect it too. Now for some small issues I encountered. And some of the issues might be related to the TV and not the soundbar. It took several attempts to get my Android phone paired via Bluetooth. Not that unusual in my experience. Once paired it works well. When attempting to use the remote to increase the volume instead of increasing the volume it would change the TV input source. Cycling the power took care of that issue. But I learned to set up the TV to use the TV remote to control the volume. When you turn on the TV the system goes through a couple of cycles of the screen going blank and then back on before you have any sound. This only takes a few seconds but it seems unnecessary. When using the soundbar remote to turn the unit off there is a few second delay before it actually turns off. A bit irritating but no big deal. There are delays in every function of the remote. I had to learn to just give it some time. I can't say as I have ever encountered that before. Again, not sure if the issue is with the TV or the soundbar. Not a fan of the way the remote. When pairing the system to the subwoofer you have to hold in the pair button on both the system and the subwoofer. That was a bit confusing in the instructions. However, the rest of the instructions are clear and accurate. I did have some questions so I attempted to contact Klipsch customer service. I called twice and eventually hung up after 30 minutes of being on hold I then contacted them via a form on their website. Have never heard back from them. So I rate their customer service as poor. The upside is the unit sounds terrific, especially for the price. I would buy it again.

I replaced a JBL 2.1 Deep Bass soundbar with this item. The JBL died. The sound from the Cinema 400 is much better than the JBL. The two horns add a brightness and clarity to the sound. It makes dialog easier to understand. The bass is also very good though I'm running two subwoofers (one wired and the wireless one)0. Needless to say I have plenty of bass and the included sub is plenty strong and adjustable for sound output. The soundbar has small LEDs on the front so you can see where you are on the adjustment spectrum for volume and bass. The only problem has been the occasional random disconnects when playing music with bluetooth but that happened with the other soundbar too. Well worth the money. I've been an audiophile all my life and this soundbar and sub sound as good in my room as any setup I've had.

Update: lowering the rating to three stars. Definitely needs a firmware update. The bar turns itself on by itself. Based on other reviews Klipsch is blaming it on the TV but my JBL never did that. Also, getting a loud crackle when turning off (until it turns itself back on). And finally, the second wired sub makes noises when the bar is supposedly off. That requires a reset to fix which is hard to do if the top of the bar is flush with the bottom of the TV. When it works properly it sounds great on surround mode but you will need to do frequent resets. Also, forgot to mention that the remote also stopped working but worked again after a factory reset. Really needs better firmware.
