Big sound in a big speaker

First and foremost, I am not an extreme audiophile, just an enthusiast.

I love the simplicity of these speakers so you get solid front channels AND quick and easy dolby atmos. I originally got ceiling speakers to install but found that installation just..never happened. so these were the alternate.

Out of the box the first things you will note is:

Each one is fr*kin heavy and SOLID built. You also need to run 2 sets of speaker wire to each.
The cloth "screening" over the top and front attracts dust and anything that will make it look bad. Pet hair, child debris, dust, etc be d a m n e d !
The height and depth are deceptively big. Seriously, check the speaker dimensions to ensure these will fit.My old tower speakers JUST fit under my tv, these need a good 2" more to fit it.
You'll have to move the entire speaker to fine tune the Atmos top speaker. Not a huge deal, but depending on your setup and the reflect angle, it can make this a little... cumbersome.

Aside from the stuff I mentioned that MAY be annoying, these suckers work great. Really solid sound for movies and gaming, a nice clarity, and ... DAT ATMOS EFFECT. If you ever wondered what all the hub bub is about, re-watch Pacific Rim with and without Atmos. With Atmos, the creatures and mechs SOUND like they're towering over you. insane.

My set up: 86" LG LED 4ktv, Polk center and rear speakers, Sony 7.2 Atmos 4k receiver, dual 10" subs. Oh yeah and these speakers lol. I also have a 4k projector and 100" screen, but due to the size and depth of these speakers, I can't use it lol.. screen won't come down enough to be worth it... and blocks the Atmos effect.

They sound awesome.

Notes: They don't come with speaker wire, make sure you get some of that too (make sure you size it appropriately for the length of your run, and remember that each of these has two channels, main and height, so you'll need 4 conductors per speaker)

They are a little on the expensive side at full price, but they seem to be on sale pretty regularly so see if you can find a bargain. They are sold individually, you'll probably need to buy two.

The magnet-on front dust guard panels are a really nice touch. most klipsch speakers have them. They give you the option of iconic klipsch copper spun woofer, or solid black facade.

They are pretty hefty, but they are small enough that one person can move them around (I take the front panel off and carefully hug-lift them)

They sound really, really good. probably the most accurate sound reproduction that I have ever heard from full sized tower speakers. I get chills listening to music on them, which is something that I rarely experience outside of movie theaters and really nice headphones.

Sound Quality is the Best

There is a slight damage in one of the speaker (see attached picture). I managed to hide them with a black marker. I have three Polk Audio Floor standing speakers and I loved them. I went to explore and add this Klipsch floor standing speaker to my collection. I paid more money for this one but I believe it's worth it. I am loving this speaker more tan I love my Polk Audio speakers. The sound is much better than my Polk Audios but maybe I am completely wrong. My Polk Audio speakers are not the top of the line (TSI300B, TSX330B and T50T). The only complaint I have is I cannot use the Atmos speaker together with the back surround sound speakers. There are no such connection on my Sony STRDN1080 Audio/Video Receiver for both the back surround sound and the Atmos speakers. I am now looking to buy an amplifier so I can enjoy both the Atmos and the back surround sound speakers all together.

Product was purchased "Used-Like New" to save money. It arrived with the Styrofoam packaging broken up but still positioned around the speaker enough to provide adequate protection during shipping. Also, the two speaker feet normally included with the speaker were missing. Upon installation, the speaker seemed to work fine and sounded great. I contacted the seller (World ToGo), and they were quick to send out a pair of feet for the speaker. I was very concerned they would blow me off, but since they didn't, they get an A+ for customer support/satisfaction. That said, to do it all over, I would pay the extra to buy new to minimize risk (i.e., help ensure nothing is missing and that the packing material is in perfect shape).

I can't say anything bad about these speakers. First, I'm a big Klipsch speaker fan and I've always liked and enjoyed the loud efficiency sound of a Klipsch speaker. It's perfect for heavy metal and hard rock in general, which is what I listen to the most. These speakers did not disappoint and where a great addition to my already existing home theater setup. I have the Marantz 8805A with two Parasound Halo A23+'s bridged to the floor standing drivers and a Marantz 2ch amp connected to the Atmos top speakers. Set far enough apart, they make a huge difference in my current setup and I couldn't be happier. I highly recommend these for any serious home theater fanatic who wants to add Dolby front firing speakers to his or her setup.

Great sound quality and a great buy when on sale. Unfortunately, both speakers I received each had damage (see pictures). I still plan on keeping the speakers because I've been waiting a fair amount of time for them to go on sale. At this price point though I would prefer to have undamaged speakers but the extent of the damage doesn't seem to affect the sound.

I upgraded my system and these two speakers were just a part of it. The sound amazing great sound for the money, had a bit of shipping damage and even though the return window was over, (because I was moving at the time), the seller was quick to make things right.

I have been a klipsch fan for years. You do not have to be a beginner just to have the R series. The speakers themselves are great, its the Receiver you need to get right.
I have 2 Dolby Atmos R625F and 2 R620 speakers, 1 R center speaker of your choice and 2 R subwoofer 100 hooked up to a Onkyo tx-nr696 Receiver. Depending on how you set up your Receiver and subs is the thing that's needs to be worked on.
My system is for 7 speakers, but I have it set up on 5.1.2 and I'm telling you I'm not disappointed at all. I'm really impressed.
