Not bulky! All comfort. Definitely warm. "weird" neck thingy adds for a good look and warmth. I bought this for my honeymoon since we'd be at the snow. This jacket held up. I wore a tank top under and I stayed warm in the icy and snowy mountains. The soft sleeve addition add for extra warmth and so that the air doesnt enter through the sleeves. It has a zipper and buttons for that secure feeling and again, no draft, air, snow going in. Definitely water proof - I laid on the snow and I didn't get wet. The neck, something many comment about: it's comfy, cushiony, and not "too much". I worried it'd rub against my face and therefore i'd have makeup on this all day BUT I was happy to say it did not. It gives me enough space to wear a nice thick scarf. I would suggest going with the size measurements - i ordered it to fit a little loose so i can add a long sleeve or thing sweater under - Wasn't needed since this thing is warm. I washed and dried in the dryer - held up well and didnt take long to dry. Length is flattering - Check measurements. I am 5'5" so it covered most of my butt which gives it the perfect medium-length look. Definitely reccommend.
Bought in size XL...typically take a large but in outerwear can use XL so I can layer up. It fits fine. This may be the style where people wrote it was tight in the shoulders or arms? I did not find that but I did size up. (I know what they mean though...ordered a down jacket last year that was very tight in the arms and returned. Don’t know what’s going on with that. Manufactures, take note: pay attention to the market or continent you are selling to.) What this is not: There are no zippered security pockets or interior pockets. It is polyfilled, not down. For that category of parka, you need to go to Eddie Bauer, The North Face, etc. and expect to also pay HUNDREDS more $$. I live in SE PA... which is a good deal warmer than even the northern part of PA. If I go to New England or Canada in the winter, I take the heavy duty parkas I just mentioned. What this is: This is a very cute, warm and cozy jacket for me to throw on for errands or a walk. (I also bought the Lark & Ro jacket with the peplum detail and it looked ridiculous on me and so had to be returned. See separate review on that item.) The shawl pillow collar is such a flattering detail. And also practical as you can draw it closed for more neck warmth. I ordered the Birdseye black and gray pattern and it is a welcome change from the solid black, navy but is still very neutral. It has 2 front slide un zippered pockets. Now, we’ll talk price. The reason this was such a good value is when I purchased, it was $20.80...something like that. I just checked and now they are showing it between $29.46 - $79.00...depending on your size. The XL today (May 12, 2021) is now $79.00. I can’t answer to the shift in pricing”?” Overall, Lark & Ro...which I believe is an Amazon brand...is doing a 👍 good job.
Very cute! Arms are a little tight if you have thick arms but it was too cute to return I just cut the inseam part of the arms for a looser fit. Kept me warm. I don’t think you’re able to fit a sweater under especially if your arms are on the thicker side . Love the pattern highly recommended
I like the coat and the design. The coat fits very well except in the arm holes. It's fine if you don't do anything that requires a lot of movement. Maybe they forgot to take into account that one would be wearing sweaters or heavier clothes under it.
