The order arrived at the earliest estimated delivery date. This indeed does include Dragon Naturally Speaking Home 13. It does also come with a Dragon labelled headset. The headset is wired with two cables, one for mic connection and one for headphones if you have both available. It also has a y adapter to use if you have only one audio jack that serves as a microphone/headphone jack. The headset also comes with a usb adapter, which is what I tried to use. My laptop only has a headphone jack because my laptop has built in microphones.
The problem was recognition of the usb headset. Most times Windows 10 would not recognize it. It would not show up in Dragon as adding a dictation device. Since I originally wanted to test the built in mics even the one time I got my laptop to recognize the headset it would not allow me to add a new dictation device or a new profile with it. Your experience may end up being different, but this is the loss of one star, as I didn't expect a headset to be included, but could not get it to work.
The Dragon software worked ok with my built in microphones. It did much better than Microsoft's built in speech recognition. where the built in speech recognition failed to type any words the Dragon Software did just fine with minor errors. Though I do have to say the built in speech recognition did well with commands just not dictation. The Dragon software does also work with commands.
I ordered a much better headset to use based on Nuance's hardware compatibility listings on their website. I hope to have a better experience than with the included headset, but that could just be Windows 10 and my lack of other connection options. I would totally recommend this anyway.
