I picked up a ton of these since I was buying acoustic foam, and they were in the "often bought together" category, so I assumed these were pretty much specifically for that purpose.
They're easy to cut down smaller, stick really firmly to the wall, they're really great. Only thing though, they do not properly stick to acoustic foam without another adhesive. Pretty sure I saw an expensive glue being paired with these, but I just used some Elmer's Glue-All from the grocery store and it worked like a charm, all the panels are still on the wall where I left them.
I ordered these because it came up as a "suggestion" when I purchased foam sound panels. Although they stick great to the wall - they do not stick well to the foam. I had to use a glue gun to stick one side to the foam and then the sticky side of the tape to the wall. Not a good suggestion! Depending on what you are using them for - they may be great - don't buy for foam unless you want to use a glue gun too.
I used these to adhere some lightweight soundproofing tiles made of foam to walls in my bedroom. The initial stick is intense, it will tear drywall off the wall, haha. However that led me to believe they are secure, and I have noticed they crawl down the wall over time. If you use them, use the full sticker, don’t cut them up. Also be weary if you’re adding any weight.
These things are great for things like RC cars where you need semi-permanent adhesion and some vibration resistance.
My only complaint is that the don't come as pictured. They arrive in large sheets that are cut on one side but uncut on the other side. They are not loose in the bag, so if you need to bring a few with you, you'll have to cut them out yourself.
Used 4 each for some light sound proofing tiles these were recommend with. Sadly a few of the pads weren't able to hold up and after it came off once it was done. A little glue in-between fixed so not horrible.
Easy to use but 6 of my small pictures took 10 each. All of em fell off the wall. I used it correctly.. Just isn't good enough. It held up a cheap aluminium sign i have with 6. Went ahead & put the rest on my wedding portrait. If that falls my wife will be livid & I'll have to start putting nails into everything.
