Was excited to get this system, but that soon dissipated into disgust and anger. The instructions for this system leave MUCH to be desired. When I finally got settings on TV figured out for CEC/ARC, only front left & right speakers have any sound, and the volume level is so low that it is ridiculous. Tried scrapping the HDMI route, and hooked up the optical cable to try - no sound at all on this setup. I'm not a techno-dunce, but after 2 hours of getting nowhere, I decided it was time to call tech support. Imagine my surprise when I found they do NOT include a number for tech support, but only a web site. Then you have to register, and send them an e-mail requesting support. WTF???? When you pay $1,000 for a surround system, I expect some kind of better support than this. It's been nearly 24 hours, and no response. I guess they do not need my business, and I will probably be sending this worthless piece of crap back, if that's all the better their support is. Pitiful....

This system is incredible…no other way to put it. I bought it for my den, and after the ease of set up, the superior sound quality, and amazing customer service, I just ordered another set for my living room! First, and probably the biggest initial selling point is, of course, the wireless feature. It works flawlessly. It’s just as easy as advertised…plug in the speakers, plug in the Soundsend, download the app, and a minute later you’ve got beautiful, full sound. I have it set up as a 7.1 currently, but I ordered tall speaker stands to put behind my tv so I can use 2 speakers as height speakers, so I’ll get 5.1.2, which will be perfect for Atmos. Looking forward to that!

The speakers are extremely high quality. They’re heavy, the cases are metal, and they feel solid. They look great too…originally I wasn’t sure I’d like the fact that there were no covers…but honestly now that they’re set up, I really like the look…they look great and don’t need covers.

I’ve seen some reviews complaining about the app…but I didn’t find it that bad. It’s a little basic, but with the exception of a few minor quirky things, I think it works fine. I do not use it to control volume…I use my tv remote, so to me the app is just for set up and tweaking.

A note on Platin’s service…I had on minor issue when adding 2 additional speakers to get 7.1. The extra speakers shipped separately and arrived a few days after the main system. There were clear instructions on how to add the speakers and what to do in the app…but I didn’t read them (yeah, I know — typical!). So I had a self-imposed issue with how to move the speakers on my app. I made a support call, got VM and left a message. I fully expected to have to call back multiple times until getting a return call (like you get with so many support lines these days). Much to my surprise, I got a return call from a real human being less than 5 minutes after I left my message. The gentleman spent a few minutes walking through what I did wrong, and had it resolved without issue. We also chatted a bit about the system and some updates they’re working on…it was a pleasure to talk to someone that actually cares about what they do.

I can’t recommend this system highly enough, as evidenced by my purchasing a second setup for another room. If you’re on the fence, take the plunge!

Great surround when cables are problematic

Pros -
The sound quality of this product I give an 8/10. The surround is great... Watching Return of the Jedi when the droids enter Jabba's palace, the rear channel audio just brings this whole level of atmospheric sound. It's fantastic.

I love not needing cables. My house isn't set up for it and This seemed like an idea set up with the WISA Soundsend feature. Works well and it was pretty easy to set up. Switching between digital and eARC audio inputs does require the use of a smartphone App, as does fine-tuning the audio levels. I can't seem to tell much difference when fine-tuning, though. I need to play with it more.

Not-so-Pros -

There's a definite lack of voice isolation; it feels like the product is tuned for explosions, sound effects, and music, while conversational voices get lost in all the other audio traffic. There is a way to boost voice volume in the included app, but I don't feel like it makes a tremendous difference. Other audio systems I've used have really effective methods of boosting voice audio with a simple button click. That would be a great addition/feature.

The volume goes up to maybe 100 or something, but anything below 50 is too quiet for my living room. To really make out voices when there's other sound/background noise in the movie, I have to crank the volume to over 70. Also, the volume, going through ARC, takes a LONG time to change. It takes like 10 seconds to reduce the volume from 70 down to 30. Why not just make the volume setting between 1 to 20? nobody is going to be able to distinguish the difference between volume at 40 or volume at 41. It makes no sense. I end up using the smartphone app to control volume when i need to change it quickly, but that always means the app needs to reconnect via bluetooth to the soundsend unit, and that takes several seconds... and last night it wouldn't connect at all (haven't started troubleshooting that yet... hopefully repositioning the unit will fix it).

I wish there was a way to get stereo audio to transmit out to all speakers; to maybe have the front and rear channels to mirror for stereo audio. I was really hoping for room-filling music audio, but instead, I just get reasonably nice sounding 2.1 stereo.

That's all. I recommend it, but maybe not at full price unless you just absolutely need wireless surround and can't afford pricier solutions. This unit isn't exactly cheap. I got it on sale and still am having a hard time justifying the cost in my mind.

Our 15-year old traditional stereo system (receiver, 2 front satellite speakers, sub-woofer) quit, so I began looking for a replacement. We mainly watch movies and listen to music via Apple TV 4k, and broadcast tv on the Tablo (another great device) app on the Apple TV. Going with a new amp and decent speakers seemed expensive, and if I went with wired speakers I'd have to engineer that.
This package, with each speaker being wireless and amplified, doesn't need the amplifier or wires. It took more time to unpack (my wife was really impressed with the all-recyclable pkg) than to get going. We first set up on a tv using its optical output - sounded fantastic, but we could control volume only through the SoundSend app. I swapped out to a tv with an arc hdmi port, and we could also use the remote to control volume. It will fill a room with sound, excellent bass, and even simulates an excellent "surround sound" experience on old NYPD Blues shows.
The sound is great to us, but of course it probably wouldn't be perfect for a high-end audiophile.
One tip for setup that it took us a few minutes to figure out. The instructions say to make sure Bluetooth is on the smartphone or pad running SoundSend. I had Bluetooth on, but I needed to go into Settings (iOS), scroll down to SoundSend, and then toggle on the app's access to Bluetooth. Boom!
We love it, great value!

Im giving this product 4 stars instead of 5 due to connecivity issues with my samasung Q85. The sounds is perfect for filling the living room..but the connectivity is not as seamless as expected.. im sure its probably more on the tv side.. taking off some of the auto settings and using pass through in the expert settings seems to help.. but i was hoping for a set it and forget it set up with everything on auto.. id i worry a bit it might randomly go out again..makes me wonder if i should have went with cine home II. If you have a samsung be ready to play with expert settings. But the sound on this system is tight.

The sound, like a tin can, honestly I'm, no sound guru but my built in tv speakers sounded just a bit worse and they weren't 700+ dollars.

The remote , irritatingly Bluetooth through phone. If youre lucky CEC sound control through the HDMI adapter. Ours kept disconnecting, had to turn off tv to get control of the sound again.

The Base, my 5 year old can hit lower notes.

Bottomline it's just some trumped up PC speakers.

The system it’s self is okay not top quality for the amount you’re paying. My subwoofer stopped working only after a couple of uses and I emailed the company and heard back once and they said they would send me a new subwoofer and they never sent it. Connection to the app is debatable if it’s gonna work or not and that’s how you control the audio settings. If you want to waste your money for a company that doesn’t care about its customers then I would recommend buying this but otherwise I would never buy another system from this company.

Now watching movies shows or sports events are more thrilling and entertaining having this quality surround sound system connected. Surround bars are good but this system takes it too the next level. You are literally blanketed in amazing sounds not heard before, well worth the investment if you enjoy watching movies at home. You literally can forget you are at home and not at a movie theater. The sound on this system is big, bold and beautiful.

Really wanted to enjoy this system,buuuut.Set up was fairly easy had to use the optical cord,no arc on my Tv.Sound quality was great,once i tweeked it to my liking.What i did not like was the dialog sync always seemed a bit off and the the sound send app would not load easily.For the price i should not have to keep playing with the system,eventually i just returned it.
