The speakers are well worth the price - however one of them arrived damaged - the speakers are screwed into very cheap particle board (again they are cheap speakers) so during transportation the 12 inch subs came out of its holes, this is where Prime is king - called them and they sent out a replacement right away - they DID NOT required the bad speaker to be sent back, they said that the magnets inside the speakers are labeled as hazardous materials (https://sellercentral.amazon.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=198172) i couldn't find much info on it, but because of that i now have a great weekend project.

as far as the sound the speakers are pretty average - depending on your taste and etc, EQ is needed - you can actually get a decent thump from this but you do it at a cost of volume, i would recommend to pair this speakers with dedicated subs, the limitations on this Pyle is the 12 inch speakers don't have a lot of travel in the voice box.

I have a set paired up with https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007W4VN1M/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 - this amp can handle 4 of this speakers.

Overall is a great buy for the price FOR THE PRICE - keep in mind that unless you modify the way the 12 inch speakers are attached, the box will not handle drops well.

Coming from someone who utilizes speakers and music for a living, this speaker is garbage. I got it delivered today and discovered that it was dropped at some point either in the warehouse or in transit. The five inch horn support is snapped in half, the corners are bent, one handle isn't even securely on the unit, and none of the components are on straight. At all. It looks like a mentally deficient person and a blind man were under the instruction of an alcoholic on a long holiday weekend. This is, at best, an off brand speaker on which Pyle put their logo on the voice coil dust cap. The speaker itself is maybe a $7 item. It has mids and highs, but no real lows to speak of. This is a bad thing, considering it's why I bought it in the first place. I get more music, mids, lows, and highs out of a POS Rockford Fosgate 12 producing 400 watts. Peak, not RMS. You are below Boss Audio in my book. PS: I hate Rockford Fosgate.

Ordered two units to replace vintage Cerwin Vegas on my home stereo system. I also have a Pyle PYD 1950 4 channel mixer and at first I noticed the bass wasn't hitting like my Vegas did at the lower volume levels but once I threw some power to these I could feel the bass then. So I guess without a decent amp powering your setup you won't get the sound that these speakers are capable of. I did have a little grill damage on one unit but NOTHING like the horror stories other have had on their delivery. No overwhelming smell or speaker damage. I ordered the protection plan just in case but so far so good. I have been purposely whopping these speakers to put them to the test because if they cant hold up then I want to know sooner rather than later. For the price a very good deal and sound is very good almost like in a live club.

If you're a DJ like me who does house parties and the occasional club you probably need good, balanced speakers. Look no further. I was really undecided between the 12" and the 15" PADH215 but these provide plenty of bass! It really surprised me because some of the reviews say you need to add a sub-woofer. Well, after rattling the walls and floors of my house I beg to differ! I tuned my Numark Mixtrack Pro a little to take out the mid-range maybe -10% and turn the bass up +10% and they are fine. Low, mid's and highs all sound great. I haven't even turned my receiver more than 50% and the sound is booming. Also, the speakers are lighter than I would have expected.

One thing I will say is expect the usual bumps and bruises with shipping. One of the bottom of my cabinets was dented maybe 1/2" but not enough to send it back. You can barely see it. This is due to shipping though and not the manufacturer, so definitely check them over when you receive them. The cabinet itself is really solid. Other than that I like the quality and overall sound. It sounds like you're in a club! Get them you won't be disappointed.

Very nice, Big, and loud. a lot of bang for your buck. WOW was i blown away literally. with the 3000w amp from pyle it works really good and highly recommend it to anyone. i bet this will work really good in my van with my 2000 w amp as a sub.

1st off I thought the price was for a pair. Quickly found out otherwise when only one showed up. When I went to buy another the same day, they had jacked the price up by nearly $50. Finally got the pair, hooked them up and they are DJ speakers alright...no mid range at all; just lows and highs with nothing in between. But not a subwoofer, just amplifier style cones so they pop and crack at heavy bass.. I like a thick analogue sound like old school homespeakers. For the same money I could have definitely found a pair. Thought about returning but feel like it would be more hassle than its worth. Life lessons earned when burned😌

I am a wife with children who likes quiet. This is why I gave it a 4 star. My husband who d jays give it 5+ stars. The music does not sound cheap. It is very crisp with the sound. When using a microphone, you can hear each word. People think he paid well over $1000. for the speakers. He bought two. It looks great with his equipment and does not take up a lot of space.

Updated Review: My husband is now looking for a subwoofer. When I asked why, he said that the speakers lack the bass he needed. I don't know if it is a man's thing...more noise or it is truly lacking. He stated for some songs he plays it does not have the "boom" he is looking for to keep everyone dancing. Still a 4 rating.
