I honestly wasn't sure what to expect for in a mini sized class D amplifier. I've never honestly owned one before of this type, but I haven't been disappointed… well I take that back, because the first one was DOA. It smoked, right out of the box and so I had to send it back. Yikes! HOWEVER, this had the features I REALLY wanted for a stereo project, and Pyle has been good about support, so I asked for a replacement. The law of averages won, and the sequel is just fine. That may seem odd, but you can tell by the weight that it's got good heat sinks, and it's full of components, with a metal housing and built in power supply. The Bluetooth appears to be the same chipset/software from JBL speakers because the notification sounds are oddly identical. The remote is a common mini remote that comes with a lot of modern electronics, like lights, speakers, etc. It's rather narrow range but it does the job. There's a power switch on the front of the amp that probably should be on the back, considering that if you turn it off with the remote it goes into standby mode and remembers settings, but you will have a few blue LEDs staring at you. It has a tuner which I did not notice in the description, but is a nice addition. There is also an aux mode input. Bluetooth range appears quite good, thanks to the built in antenna. Bass and treble controls are nothing to write home about but they do the job. There is no balance control, which I find curious, but not a deal breaker. All in all a good performer and a great value.

I got the PCA3 to go with my 30 watt Panasonic SB-403 Turbo Thrusters from 1984. Previously I had them attached to a 100 watt per channel Pioneer receiver that I bought new in the late 1990s. The Turbo Thrusters were sort of a downgrade from the 100 watt Technics speakers I was originally using (a mutt system bought off the Circuit City showroom floor/display/open box)...not exactly a downgrade, just going for some smaller floor speakers. The receiver pushed them beautifully. When the Pioneer died I got a Lepai 2020A+ and the pseakers sounded great with it. After five years the Lepai died and I got a Lvpin clone of the Lepai. The Lvpin couldn't hold a candle to the Lepai. Shrill and full of distortion and just too much bass even with adjusting it. To get on with my long-winded review, I finally decided it was time try something else for my entertainment setup. All I need to do is push these two 30 watt speakers for the output of my desktop computer. That's not my computer only. That's movies played back on the computer and a turntable, cassette deck and VCR connected to the computer basically as computer peripherals so I can convert anything I want to digital easily. I thought I was getting the bare bones model of the PCA3, but this one has the FM receiver and inputs for SD cards and USB. I really wasn't too happy with getting extras...extra stuff to break and collect dust like the SD card and USB inputs that I already have on my computer. But, it is what it is. The SOUND is comparable to the Lepai which was supposedly 20 watts per channel. According to the manual this PCA3 is pushing around 15 watts, so not too far off. I've still never understood speaker wattage mumbo jumbo and this was no exception. I first bought it because I thought I would be getting a bit of extra power, then I read about ohms and that threw it off by half because my speakers are 8 ohms, leaving me wishing I'd gone for the 2x120 (for 60 watts of power???) before I even received this one. Now that it's all set up I'd say it sounds really decent in a small room. Decent enough that I don't see a reason to return it for "false advertising" (which is really what these wattage ratings are. REALLY!) Nowhere near the distortion of the Lvpin crap and it gets fairly loud before I notice any distortion. I'm really satisfied with the sound. I only chose to cover the power indicator LED. Yes, the LEDs are way too bright but when I'm watching old TV shows online or vloggers/podcasts on Youtube, the level indicators rarely light up. I've never exactly been into the "theater experience" with movies either. Just some clean sound that's not too loud and bassy, so movies sound pretty good to me too...without much activity from the indicator lights. When I crank up some music they'll come to life and I like that. I think they look cool with the music. Just one problem with those indicators. The left side is a little less sensitive than the right. The speakers sound balanced to my ears but even when I'm playing a mono recording (1960s 45 rpm records converted to digital and to TRUE mono) the right indicator jumps up by one notch over the left. It even does it on the FM radio function. Only a minor annoyance. It annoys me but I'll get over it. Speaking of the FM radio, it sounds tinny and weak. I'll probably never use it again after testing it. I tried the USB input with a memory stick full of MP3s. I couldn't get it to work. Didn't try the SD card input because I don't think it can play back pictures which is all I have on SD cards. I don't use Bluetooth so the antenna stayed folded and tucked away. I wish I could take the antenna off completely but it seems permanently attached.

tl;dr this long-winded run-on paragraph: The PCA3 sounds good. I wouldn't pair it with any speakers higher than 30 watts or so. One star off combined for the uneven level indicators and all the extras that I didn't want and didn't order. I like it fairly well.

I had my Echo Dot playing through an older, shelf stereo and wired speakers mounted to walls and free standing. Power outages fried the stereo, but I still wanted to use the speakers. This is the first time I've used something like this amplifier.

It was easy to hook the speakers up and it connected immediately to my Echo via Bluetooth. I'm very please with the sound. I only have two complaints. One the cord is on the sorter side. I live in an older, small house and the number of outlets are limited so I use surge protector/power strips which preclude the use of extension cords. It seems many electronics come with very short cords, and this one is a standard length. Second, the blue power light is REALLY bright. It's bright enough that in a darkened room it's annoying. It's bright enough to be a night light if needed. It would be nice if this light was able to be dimmed.

4.0 de 5 estrellas Great little amp for the purpose...

I bought this amp to use in an Airplay network from my main iTunes server. The amp does not have a remote control, but, no matter. I have set the volume to a medium range. I choose this segment of the Airplay network with my iPhone (Remote app) and set the volume with my iPhone. So this amp is set to a level that is as loud as I'd ever want to hear (about the 12 o'clock position of the manual knob) and then the actual volume is controlled with the iPhone.

The amp is connected to a pair of Mirage bookshelf speakers that I've had for years. They are in our living room and the whole setup works just great. The amp resides on the floor under a bookcase, i.e. out of sight. The wiring was built into the house when we built the house. So from a visual standpoint, the speakers just play. It's a sweet setup. This is NOT my primary system. That system is another story...

But this amp drives these speakers in this venue as well as needed. It is just the right amp for the application. It's always on -- with a very low current drain -- and the system is there anytime I want to hear anything in my (20,000 track) collection while relaxing in the living room.

In that context, I'm totally satisfied :)

4.0 de 5 estrellas It gets the job done

I'm just getting into the world of audio and repurposing old speakers laying around our house, so I needed an amplifier to power them. I didn't do that much in-depth research and just looked around to get the basics done. I just needed a really cheap amp that powered my speakers and let me connect my computer to them, and this Pyle mini 2x 75 watt amp fit the bill. This way, if I blew out something, not much money was loss (unless there was a fire from it, which didn't happen).

The amp itself was good, except the speakers I used with it needed a bit more power than what the amp provided (200 watts) (again, I was new and just wanted to see if I can use the speakers with my computer) so when I turned it up, the speakers clipped and sounded awful. Luckily I learned my lesson and fully researched about speakers and what it takes to power them and bought something that was overkill.

The Pyle mini 2x 75 watt amp does the job, but try and do your research first. Luckily these are cheap enough to use as a hobby.

4.0 de 5 estrellas Solid, but not what you would expect out of a 150 watt amp.

Solid steel box with well made knobs and switch. Sounds good, I input my laptop and output to a couple of average bookcase style speakers. I’m not an electronics expert but from my experience this is not what you would expect from 150 watt amp. To me it compares to 30 maybe 40 watts per channel tops. I cant say they misrepresented the product but I think the watt rating is not what the average consumer would expect. None the less I like it and didn’t need that much power anyway. If you need the volume that the average consumer would expect from a 75 watt per channel amp you may be disappointed. Best I can tell is that its based on a 4 ohm speaker. You don’t see many 4 ohm speakers outside of a little transistor radio. most speakers are 8 ohm so I suppose that cuts the watts in half but like I said I’m not an expert in electronic measurements. It is a bit misleading and seems to be a common complaint with this amp. I wish they would reconsider how they describe these amps. I’m still going to give it 4 stars because its well made and sounds good. So if you change the 75 to 35 and want a nice little amp for your computer office room, get this one.

I was a little worried when I read so many reviews about this unit being defective, but fortunately Amazon has a great return policy, so I decided to give it a try.

Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) is rated as 1% at 15W, but the unit produces up to 75W of power. Make sure that you choose a power amp that produces a lot more power than you need because it's not going to sound great if you crank up the volume.

This unit does a fine job driving my two 100 Watt, 6 Ohm speakers cabinets in my living room. I bought this to save space, replacing a larger stereo with a broken CD player I was using. I'm very pleased with the sound quality at the levels I need. It's better than the stereo I was using and worlds better than some cheap amplified computer speakers I was also trying to use.

4.0 de 5 estrellas Awesome little device!!!!

This little device is great, exactly what I needed. However I did have to send my initial order back and get a replacement. But I really believe that had more to do with the cold weather. So my only piece of advice for future purchaser's is it is outside in cold weather allow to warm up to room temperature before trying to connect speakers to device. But I am extremely satisfied so far.

I was looking for a simple amp that could drive two pairs of outdoor speakers on my patio. It is small light and powerful. I've had success in the past using PYLE amp's for easy setups and the compact size helps it fit into a cabinet along with a Amazon Echo and a auto-select input switch I designed that also works with the Echo. I would recommend this to anyone with a DIY project.
