Fantastic kit for the price as this is really top quality, I have had many Mics in my time as a musician and this is amazing quality, you can pay up to £300 for this type of quality. You also get the spider and pop guard thrown in and even the heavy duty XLR cable too and there's plenty of it to move around the studio. The spider part is for avoiding Mic bumps in your precious recordings which can ruin your performance. Its also very adjustable in the spider you can move it around to get different effects and sound.

There is a nice DVD with this showing how to do these different effects by moving the Mic around in the spider or adjusting the pop up guard or using without it and standing in various places when singing. I'm over the moon with this purchase and extremely happy. If you register on line you get 10 years guarantee. Well done to Rode.

I use this as a studio mic for recording spoken word. I use FL Studio to give the mic a treatment to make it a little more isolated and studio sounding, but the mic itself is perfectly fine. Put headphones on, turn the gain up, and just listen to things happening throughout the house. I can hear my girlfriend walking across floorboards outside and coming into the room behind me through the mic, even though the headphones are blocking my hearing. It's like being psychic. LOL Definitely a good mic capable of picking up subtle sounds if you crank it. Recommended.

It's a teensy bit inaccurate for Rode to say the NT-1 kit is a 'complete vocal recording solution' because you need to supply 24 or 48 volts of phantom power to get the NT-1 to work. And for that you need a mixing desk or adapter with a phantom power option which the kit does not include.

That said, the NT-1 does exactly what it says on the tin, as you might expect of something from Australia. It perfectly, and with the least noise, works as a studio full-frequency Large Diaphragm Cardioid condenser microphone for the same money you'd pay for a pair of Shure SM-58s. And that's awesome.

Whatever you play or sing into it, it reproduces in your DAW. No bias, over-saturation, noise, it does the job at a terrific price. It's a game-changer and you should get one, as long as you have phantom power.

Incredible microphone, such a low noise floor

I am so glad I purchased this product. I needed it for my ADR recording for my home made booth. Is has a very good range and the noise floor is so low there is no need to apply a noise reduction filter in post. I also use it to record outdoor sounds (ambiance and Foley). I use it with a FetHeat (from Triton) to get a clean 20db boost; and a Zoom H4Npro. To use outdoor I bought a phantom power supply that can use a 9V battery, as this microphone needs a Phantom Power and when using the Fethead, no power goes to the microphone. I would recommend this mic to anyone looking for an excellent studio mic (ADR, voiceover, singing, and more).

This is an excellent vocal package that has the accessories you need to have to get the microphone working with an interface and in a studio environment. I've used this microphone to record an acoustic guitar, saxophone and speech for a voice-over through a Behringer U-Phoria UMC404HD which has Midas Pre-Amps that accentuate the microphone's warm tone and clarity. In some recordings I have done, I found the low-end is quite thick and heavy even when giving the microphone a bit of distance from a vocal, however a quick fix using an EQ and some compression tightens up the sound in a pinch. Only being around £130 the quality cannot be beaten, there are other options like the original NT1 or the NT2-a, however the NT2-a is something I would buy if really wanted a more versatile microphone with the multi-pattern and higher SPL.

Für nicht mal 200€ bekommt man hier einiges geboten und für Einsteiger ist das Mikro sehr gut geeignet, da man mit einem kleinen Mischpult mit XLR-Anschluss, USB-Interface und Phantomspeisung (Ein Beispiel ist das Behringer Xenyx Q802USB für circa 80€) alles hat um loszulegen und zum Beispiel am PC zu betreiben. Da das Mikro nur sehr wenig Eigengeräusche produziert und mit etwas Konfiguration richtig gut klingt, kann ich dieses Mikro eigentlich jedem empfehlen, der Verwendung dafür hat. Auch zu bemerken ist die 10 Jahre gültige Hersteller-Garantie, welche ganz einfach online bei Rode aktiviert werden kann. Einem wird also ein rundum glücklich Paket geboten.

I cant praise Rode enough they are in my opinion a world above all companies. Their service and customer support is unrivalled

This pack is easily worth 3 times the money in my opinion. The quietest studio microphone in the world and that is saying something and it delivers. It has a wariness and richness to it that no kids can match its velvety smooth capturing makes vocals so easy to record and yet sound so natural.

Thenset includes all you need to get started. The cradle and pop shield are all great quality as is the XLR they include. Believe me this Mic and Rode in general are unreal

Inutile a dirsi ma RODE come sempre non delude le aspettative. Utilizzo il microfono principalmente per il canto, sebbene lo abbia usato anche per registrare chitarre classiche e pianoforte. Il diaframma largo copre uno spettro di frequenze incredibile e la resa è calda e sempre bilanciata. E' uno dei microfoni più silenziosi al mondo, solo 5db di rumore di fondo, pressoché non udibile. Attualmente lo utilizzo con una Focusrite 212 2nd Generation. Nella confezione è compreso un cavo XLR da 6mt di ottima qualità (low noise), un filtro antipop ed un supporto anti vibrazione in metallo di ottima fattura, con supporto incorporato per il filtro antipop. Amazon come sempre incredibile: il pacco è arrivato ben 2 giorni prima della consegna garantita!

Wish I'd had one of these years ago. It's been used to record vocals and accoustic guitar and has performed really well. Love the cradle thing which protects it againt noise from movement. For the price I'm very impressed and get the impression the Aussie company really cares about putting out quality products. Had a close call when the mic stand fell over but the mic was partly protected by the cradle and no damage done to mic or cradle so survived the idiot test..
