Great solution for 2008/2009 Chevy Malibu and Saturn Aura Front Door Speaker replacement.

Wish I would have found these sooner. Spent almost 2 hours cutting the factory speaker out of the bracket (the speaker and the bracket/mount are literally the same piece in my car) and modding it to work with my new 6.5" woofers. Then I found these. Needed a little trimming to get the woofers to fit nice and snug, not a big deal, a few minutes with an xacto knife and some speaker gasket material (foam tape works fine) and I was good to go.

The actual adapter itself fit my 2006 Pontiac G6 beautifully, however I'm only giving 4 stars because it didn't quite fit my 6.5" BOSS NX654 that I was installing. I had to modify the adapters by sawing off the little plastic brackets inside the ring to make the speaker fit. I'm sure these brackets are necessary for some speakers to fit, in my case this modification was required. If the brackets were a bit easier to remove that would have been ideal. Once I managed to modify it, everything fit like a charm. This is a must buy if you're installing some aftermarket speakers, especially if you have a Pontiac G6.

Used to install aftermarket speakers on my 07 gmc sierra. It worked. The aftermarket kenwood speakers i got just barely fit into it though. The bolt screw holes in the speaker was a little out of line with the adapter, but i was able to get them in. Overall, it was an easy install

Just installed these in my 2013 Chevy Sonic, it attaches to the car by hooking the flat part into the door and screwing down just the pointy ear part. The Alpine SPR-60 speakers I used came with some weird bracket of their own which I had to sandwich between the speaker and the Scosche bracket. I had to make a trip to the hardware store to get some machine screws and nuts to make this happen, no included hardware with this kit. I knocked a star because these brackets did not come with a gasket, which it needs to prevent it from rattling against the metal door frame at certain low frequencies. I realized this after putting my doors back together, of course, so plan A is to take it down and use Peel & Seal (google it) all over the door frame. If that doesn't cut it, plan B is to trace out the bracket over a sheet of rubber to make my own gasket. Plan C involves drilling more holes in the door to make use of the other mounting points.

For you Sonic owners, there are two bolts holding the door trim on - one behind a circular piece of plastic near the grab bar, and another behind a squarish plastic insert in the inside door handle. I removed them with a straightened paperclip with the last 1/8 inch bent 90 degrees. After those two are out, yank out the triangular piece where the side mirror attaches. If you are a real man and have a manual crank window like I do, it needs to come off. Go to your local automotive store and buy the tool for this, trust me it's worth it. I tried to cheap out and get the handles off by various means that I saw posted online, I ended up scratching my interior and I had to buy the thing anyway. Now grab the outer edges of the door trim, say a prayer to the higher power of your choice, and give it a good yank. The door trim is held on by a bunch of plastic clips all around the perimeter. Be aware of the lock indicator that sticks up, you will need to take it up over this Don't worry, it won't break off from moderate stretching. Once the panel is off, you will notice there is a cable connecting the inner door handle to the latch mechanism. I just left it attached. If you have power windows there is probably some other wire to disconnect. I would also like to note that you must use the stock wiring to attach the speakers in this car, instead of the usual wiring passage through the door there is a proprietary molex connector that the door electronics plug into. You would have to take the door off completely off and drill holes in unused portions of the molex connectors to run speaker wire through.

I bought these adapters at the advice of another Amazon user to put some speakers in a newer (2008) Silverado. The Silverado factory speakers used an integrated speaker and mount. I used these adapters to put in aftermarket speakers and they bolted in place with no problem but are a but more shallow than the factory speaker. These plastic on these adapters are a bit in the thin side but held the speaker in place. The adapters also do not have the anti-squeak foam shim where they seat against the door.

A little flimsy, but they work. I don't understand the confusion, these are plastic adapters. If you want padding, you add your chosen sound deadener sheet to the door panel around the speaker opening. I used Accumat from here on Amazon. Like others here, this should work on 07+ GM full size trucks, like it did on my GMC. I did use the 2 extra screw holes to mount it a bit sturdier. 4/5 stars since it is kinda flimsy, and the screw slots don't seem the tightest, but do seem to be working.

Upon installing these in my car my speakers would not fit so I had to cut some tabs out of the mount in order to fit the speakers I purchased I bought some jbl 6.5s which is why I believe the mount didn’t perfectly fit the speaker but it did fit inside of the car door itself I also had to use a different set of screws to hold the speaker within the mount

Doesn’t work as good as it should be for a 6-3/4” speaker. Had to bend off the little extra tabs on the inside of the mount just to fit the speaker in. Took an extra 5 seconds so no biggies. Once I rigged the mount properly it went on well and fit very good.

These work great for the front speakers for a 07-13 gmc serria ext cab but search for the backdoor mounts they’re different from the front. They are more of a rectangle for the back. they will work with some self tapping screws but if you want to do it right look up the mounts for the back they’re right on eBay don’t make the same mistake I did and use the front mounts for all four speakers like I said it will work but it doesn’t fit as good.
