The earphones are medium-low quality mono drives. More like studio monitors than modern earphones. A mid-low performance especially of the low frequencies, but all in they would be acceptable... if used with the cable (sold separately !!). The real problem is with the Bluetooth system .. the two earphones only work together, the RX earphone also controls the SX earphone. The RX earphone has a mic for the telephone functions and ambient sound control (you could adjust how much to isolate yourself...) through an interesting APP but also this "weird"... usable only with some players, especially parametric equalizer isn't available for web radio, or other...
TWO MAIN PROBLEMS:
1 °) Problem: the sound quality worsens a lot in Bluetooth, blurred sound, not detailed, almost without low frequencies.
2 °) Problem: Even more serious, the two earphones discharge unevenly, and impressively fast in about 2.5 hours the Sx earphone remains over 50% charged when the right earphone is completely discharged (see attached photo) unfortunately since without the right earphone the Bluetooth system is not working you have to recharge all over again .. great pity !!
Returned and after for a very close promotional cost at the time of purchase, I bought some AONIC 4 (double driver ..) natural-born with cable, superior in acoustic performance in a superlative way.

2.0 de 5 estrellas Akku in Box defekt
Revisado en Alemania el 24 de abril de 2022
Color: AzulCompra verificada

3.0 de 5 estrellas Considering the RRP, I was expecting perfection
Color: Negro
I own several pairs of truly wireless earphones and earbuds. At the RRP £219, I was expecting this SHURE Aconic215 set to be as good, if not better than say the Jabra Elite 75t or the Apple Airpod Pro earbuds (both of which I own, and have given 4-star ratings). I've never owned a pair of Shure earphones/headphones, but my son has had and he always states how good they are, so I had high hopes. Whilst the Aconic215 have lots of great features, there are a few too many faults with them for me.

For a start, I don't get the obsession with such wasteful packaging, I am not into style over substance. However, on opening all the packaging, and taking them out, they certainly have a unique design. I found the foam tips more than useless, but the soft flex tips were comfortable and made for a nice fit inside my ear.

Similar to the Jabra Elite I own, SHURE has an app to install and I made sure all the firmware was up to date. Connecting to my iPhone 12 via the Bluetooth was straightforward, and the connection stayed stable. However, on pairing with my Apple Watch Series 4, connectivity was a bit temperamental with the signal dropping for a second or two every few minutes.

Similar to Airpod Pro and Jabra Elite, there is a sound-through function, which as a runner, I really welcome, and it does strike a good balance between hearing what is going on around you, and being able to hear the music. With regards to music, the sound is very good (I have eclectic tastes in music, with electronic, jazz, pop, rock and classical all tested), but I am not blown away by the quality considering the RRP. I have other headsets at half this price with as dynamic sound as this SHULE set. Sure bass is there but it isn't the best, and I found the clarity of the midrange good, but not as good as the Airpod Pros. That said, I did find listening to Audible books really crystal clear like the narrator was in the room with me. But my biggest problem with this set, is why on earth when taking a telephone call, does one side receive the call? It makes no sense.

On a plus note, the in-ear controls are pretty good and not overly sensitive, and work well with my sausage fingers, so they score higher than the Jabra Elites on that point. Battery life seems impressive, and I like that the charging cable is USB-C. However, the charging case is far too big, when I am out running, I have a tiny zipped pocket that Airpod Pro or Jabra Elite case fits in easily, this SHURE case is too big.

In summary, whilst the sound is very good, it isn't great. Yes, they are comfortable to wear and good for when I am out running (unlike the Airpod Pros which don't stay perfectly snug), but they are just not versatile enough when you consider the price. They are okay, but I would consider other earbuds in this price bracket, before buying these 215s.

3.0 de 5 estrellas Truly amazing sound and comfort but Bluetooth connection issues
Color: Negro
There’s lots to like about these earphones. The sound quality is incredible and leaves the likes of the Jabra 75t and House of Marley Redemption ANC (Admittedly £50 less) sounding average in comparison. Stunning bass with the mid and high ranges sounding as they should; there is a clarity I'd usually associate with over the ear headphones that I've never experienced with earphones before. I only listen to FLAC files and these earphones reproduce them perfectly, using the AptX codec which is compatible with my OnePlus 6.

I like the fit with the springy over ear arms and rotating earbuds ensuring that they sit perfectly in your ears and doing away with the need to re-adjust them. There is no chance whatsoever that they’re going to fall out. Choose the tightest fitting ear tips of the assortment included for the best fit (and listening experience).

The battery is very good, easily 25+ hours with the volume at 50% and they recharge every time you return them to the case (I don’t agree at all with the reviewer who suggests that you should always leave them to run completely flat before re-charging!).

The case is very big, won’t comfortably fit in the front pocket of your trousers but it is sturdy with decent zip and is built to last. It charges by USB-C.

The control buttons are very limited indeed (Play/Pause; Answer/Disconnect call; Environment On/Off; Voice Assistant; Power On/Off). However, I use the Google Assistant and with three presses of the control button (on either earphone), I can open it and ask it to skip songs and adjust the volume.

To use them to their full capability, be sure to download and install the ShurePlus PLAY app. There’s a firmware upgrade waiting to be downloaded and installed (about 25 mins) and you can adjust EQ levels (manually or using pre-sets) & the environmental mode level (how much background noise you can hear) and some other basic functions. There’s a great music player within the app that can be used even when not connected to your Shure earphones and I use it as my default one.

So, there’s lots to like about these earphones but there is one unexpected issue – the Bluetooth connection and I don’t appear to be an isolated case. The sound drops out for a split second, sometimes a few seconds, way more than any other earphones or headphones I’ve used. Even when my phone is in very close proximity (i.e. coat pocket) there are unexpected dropouts, primarily whilst I’m walking or moving about. It’s not an issue with my phone – it holds the connection with other Bluetooth head/earphones and speakers perfectly.

In summary, I like almost everything about these earphones from the sound to the fit and comfort but the Bluetooth connection can be annoying when it misbehave and spoils what is otherwise a fabulous set of earphones.

3.0 de 5 estrellas Disappointing to be Shure...
Color: Negro
I've wanted a pair of Shure Earbuds for years but these AONIC 215's have turned out to be a real disappointment. On first impressions they lived up to my expectations; the funky round box they arrive in promises something special, the build quality seems very good and you get a nicely designed and well-made charging carry-case but then you listen to them and it all slides downhill somewhat.

My first issue is with the fit and this is critical to get the best sound because if you don't achieve an airtight fit into the ear canal you won't get the fullest sound and deepest bass from your earbuds. These AONIC 215's are a two-part design and the ear-hook section can be detached form the actual earbud section. Getting them to sit in a position with the earbuds properly inserted into my ear canal and forming a decent seal is a major chore and takes far more effort and fiddling than it should. I use in-ear earphones all the time and these are the worst to put on I ever tried. Once you get them into place you really have to leave them alone because if you tap or move them the wrong way the two parts can separate and of course they disconnect and switch off and you have to take them off and start again.

They're supposedly compatible with the aptX codec, which gives significantly improved audio compared to the default SBC that Bluetooth defaults to, but getting this to work has proved another major chore. These earphones don't seem to report their available codecs to the source device properly and so it keeps defaulting to SBC and you can't switch to any other option. This significantly limits the audio quality and I find them really fickle depending on which device you connect them to, sometimes they sound good and sometimes they sound awful. The style of music you choose makes a big difference too and they're really not well-suited to complex dynamic music, it just becomes crunchy noise. There also seems to be some kind of limiter in operation which attempts to boost quiet passages and limit loud ones, that sounds pretty awful too and it's not switchable (assuming it exists and isn't my imagination).

The biggest issue is the lack of bass and even with a good ear fit and the EQ setting boosting the low end they sound a bit feeble and flat. The mid-range response is good and has some detail but the treble response is too harsh and crunchy and so prominent it drowns out the good stuff. If I was judging them blind and from the sound alone I'd suggest a price around a quarter of what it actually is. I really wanted to like these, honest, but they're really fickle, quite disappointing and TBH barely worth the significant effort of putting them on in the first place, never mind the inflated price.
