Antes que nada TARDÓ casi una semana en llegar, como primera instancia el acabado es perfecto, las texturas y diseños se ven muy bien, el sonido para mi es muy muy bueno los bajos son adecuados para todo tipo de contenido y acorde a su támaño obviamente si quieres un bajo más potente es recomendable una barra con su respectivo subwoofer, pero para mi esta mas que super bien, esta conectada en una smart TV samsung de la serie TU7000 y se escucha muy bien, antes de comprarla lei algunos comentarios que decías que el sonido no era muy bueno pero en realidad todo depende de la configuración de audio que tenga tu TV. Estoy muy contento y satisfecho con el producto le doy un 10 de 10. Solo como punto final, todos tenemos gustos distintos en cuestión al audio y no podemos tomar la opinión de un tercero como aceptable si mis gustos no son los mismos que los de esa persona, lo único que podemos hacer es arriesgarnos y probarlas nosotros mismos, yo por eso la compre y me encantó.

Buena barra, sin embargo a este mes ha presentado un par de problemas.

Después de algunos meses de uso y sin mediar daño físico o caída de mi parte, en la barra ha dejado de activarse el BT directamente o a través del control remoto, por otro lado también dejaron de funcionar los controles manuales ubicados al lado de la propia bocina.

The first time I saw my mother in one whole year because of the pandemic. She’s always struggled with hearing especially from bad tv speakers. I finally got the money to spend on a sound-bar for her to enjoy the clear sound. (Disclaimer I am competent with modern technology)
Yet, I set it all up for her and immediately noticed a superbly loud siren like noise coming from the speaker as if it went haywire. I thought I fixed it and left. I get a call the next day and it’s my mother freaking out because the soundboard has continued to make that noise repeatedly and she was alarmed and disturbed by the noise that never stopped. I could even hear it through the phone while struggling to hear her. It was oddly similar to a fire alarm in tone and volume, which is surprising as I would never expect such disturbance, especially to my mother, as my faith and money was put into TCL’s product. I hope nobody has to go through this trouble just to have a working sound-bar. Thank you TCL🙄😐

Sounds great, easy to setup. The only thing I would say I'm not a huge fan of is that the black background on either side of the central speaker is very glossy. That means dust is immediately noticeable and that it reflects any light in the room. Maybe its polished to help reflect sound? At any rate it's not terrible but is noticeable.

Overall the unit sounds great in my 12ftx18ft with 9ft ceiling room. The sub is a tallish cube rather than a rectangle like my last system which make it use less room and looks clean.

I recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a fantastic sound bar but not the top of the line. This sound bar works fantastic with my TCL 65R635-CA Roku TV. Once I connected to HDMI-eARC on my TV in minutes it down loaded and updated the Alto 9+ sound bar automatically and connected the wireless subwoofer. In settings there will be a couple of changes you may have to configure but pretty much straight forward. Bluetooth Pairing for Apple AirPlay was simple. You can also set up Wi-Fi connection for music streaming. Great little remote, several sound modes and not to mention the wonderful Dolby Atmos. Overall the sound is fantastic and I love movie mode. Great look, great sound and quality at a reasonable price. I paid $375 Canadian, I have seen it as low as $365 on Amazon.ca.

I’ve been on the hunt for something with Dolby Atmos capabilities without spending $1000+ and let me tell you I was SO skeptical with this sound bar.. but it blew away my expectations. For a soundbar this one works hard to make you feel submersed with sound. With Netflix & Disney+ making Dolby Atmos supported movies & shows more available I really wanted to enjoy them. Granted, this doesn’t compare to full Dolby set ups with 7.1+ but it still packs a punch. When you close your eyes you do hear it on either side and above you like being in a movie theatre (but just not so much from behind) the fact is there’s only 3 speakers in-front of you and to throw sound this crisp and far is impressive!! 10/10 would recommend if you aren’t expecting a $1500 set up from a $450 sound bar.

If you own a TCL Roku TV, the addition of the Tcl9+ sound bar is great upgrade. You can take advantage of Dolby Atmos ready apps like : Netflix, Prime and Disney. The soundbar when set up properly produces a wide soundstage with punchy bass that makes a cinematic experience. It's not going to replace the 5-7 speakers home theater systems ($1000+) but it can hold its own and certainly fill a medium sized room.

Protip: the movie setting has the most immersive sound. If you are not getting the deep bass sounds when you first set it up, most likely the sub isn't paired. The sub does a lot of the heavy lifting.

(HIGHLY RECOMMEND)-After reading online technical reviews I purchased this sound bar to complement my new 65R635 4K TV. I connected the sound bar via eARC from the TV and the setup could not have been easier. Using the ROKU OS to adjust the TV and sound bar settings is particularly useful. Once connected I had an issue with the sound bar for some reason refusing to go past the default input TV home screen when the TV was turned on. I called TCL technical support and they were able to walk me through how to solve the problem that was not documented in the TV or sound bar setup instructions. Want to give TCL technical support a shout out here. I have contacted other manufactures technical support centers and almost every time have been frustrated by either not being able to reach a real person, if I do reach a real person I know more about their product than they do, or they give up if they cant solve the problem following the instructions that are already in the user manual. Was able to reach a real TCL tech support person who was very knowledgeable and stayed on the phone with me until the problem was fixed. To me this alone was worth the price of the sound bar! Below is my summary assessment of this sound bar's Pros and Cons
Pros
-Great value for the money! Very large sound stage with clear dialog and decent bass, Doesn't sound better than my dedicated Yamaha RX-6A and Anthony Gallo speaker setup but great for everyday listening
Cons
-No way to tweak the sub (i.e. cross over frequency, phase, volume,...) like you can with a dedicated sub All you can do is lower the overall bass level. Accordingly the bass is a bit boomy with no way to tame it
-Documentation is sparse. (i.e. sound modes include one called Boost in addition to TV, Movie,... with no explanation of what this setting is used for
-Hard to determine sound bar status (i.e. Off, Awake, Sleep...) Not a problem now after talking with TCL tech support because it just works turning on when I turn on the TV. But this is very disconcerting when trying to trouble shoot a problem

Using this soundbar with my TCL tv has vastly improved the sound quality.At one point the voice in videos was not in sync with the picture.At another point the soundbar volume could not be controlled with the t.v.remote and then the soundbar stopped working.
Both occurances were corrected quickly through the manufacturer's support line.

TCL alto 9+ delivers amazing sound quality, better than most major brands out there. It delivers Dolby atmos content incredibly immersive even better than 3.1.2 systems. I wanted to give this bar 5 stars but it has major quality flaw. I ordered this sound bar twice hoping the second one wouldn't have the same issue as the first one. So what is the issue, the volume control freeze all the time, you are unable to control the volume from sound bar remote or TV remote if hdmi arc is hooked up. Only way to temporarily fix this issue is by unplugging sound bar and hdmi cable 3-4 times day which is totally impractical and pain in the butt. I thought I was the only one having this issue so I went online to see if there is fix for this but it turned out to be common issues with the product. I hope TCL comes out with some kind of fix for this but till then keep away.

Alto 9+ subwoofer popping

The soundbar itself is pretty nice but the subwoofer is just awful. My unit's subwoofer pops at certain frequencies making it unlistenable.
Amazon sent me a replacement unit and it has the same popping noise with the added issue that the subwoofer pairing button physically cannot be pressed down.
I have spent way too much money on headphones and speaker systems, so I have some basis for these accusations. Although this is no $5000 system, the subwoofer should definitely not pop like that on my original and replacement unit. This means TCL has some serious quality control issues with these subwoofers.
I ended up getting a Polk Signa S2 soundbar system and their subwoofer sounded miles better than this Alto 9+ sub.
I will be returning my unit along with the replacement unit back to Amazon for a refund.

Not really ATMOS

I bought this because it was advertised as a 3.1.2 Dolby ATMOS device and it is well-priced for those specs. However it is not really ATMOS. It can decode ATMOS audio but it does not have the .2 vertical sound speakers, it apparently just simulates them. The sound quality is good enough, not amazing, but I think it is comparable to a good 2.1 soundbar which would be significantly cheaper. The remote is fine, probably better than most but when set up to a TV using Arc or eArc it is only used for the equalizer. Overall I rated it at a 2-star mostly because I feel deceived by the marketing, though as far as actual performance goes I'd put it at 3 or 3.5. If I had paid full retail instead of getting a sale price, I would definitely be returning it.
