PROS:
1. Feels solid - nice construction
2. Looks good

CONS:
1. Batteries need to be replaced EVERY WEEK
2. Fingerprint fails to read finger prints
3. No way to lock the door without your phone.
4. Battery compartment requires two tiny screws to be remove (EVERY WEEK)
5. You must first tap on a number to wake up the lock before entering the code.
Since it does not wake up on the 1st try, you end up entering an invalid number (a lot)
- Touching anywhere on the lock should wake it up.
- Twisting the handle should wake it up.

Bottom Line:
I will try to return this lock - it a a total waist of time and money

Starting from the installation, this lock isn't exactly for the faint of heart. It requires that you drill a hole through the door. This hole is used for the power cable and securing the top of the lock to the door. In a one-size-fits-all attempt, the hole can be drilled anywhere in roughly a three-inch space. I honestly was left wondering... WHY? The lock itself is a fixed size. Allowing the top brace to be slid is needless engineering, as nothing can be in the way. If something were in the way, simply put, the lock wouldn't work.

This sliding brace presents the first problem. To mount the lock and have it sit flush against the door, the power cable needs to be slid into a channel. This same channel, precisely the size of the cable, also is intended to be home to the sliding brace. Borrow a third arm for the procedure, you'll need it. Make that four hands, due to the rubber water proofing seals refusing to stay in place.

Once mounted, the lock looks fantastic! The features are impressive to list as well! You can unlock via pin, RF card, biometrics, or the app. Each works to some varying degree.

RF: Included in the box were three keyfobs, these were easily programmed via the app and worked flawlessly every time. I was unable to program fobs that were not shipped with the kit. I suspect most are not ordering this lock for the RF feature.

PIN: Programming a pin through the app is easy. User management is intuitive! The keypad is unresponsive. Sometimes when touched it doesn't wake, and sometimes it's on a delay. The door does always open once the pin is entered, but it may take a few tries.

Fingerprint: When giving my wife access, It took at least ten tries to program her thumb. The lock seems to require that the thumb is held straight up and down against the sensor. Not laterally as would be intuitive with your hand on the handle. Once programmed it often takes two or three reads for the fingerprint to work. I have yet to be able to program my won.

Ap: It simply works.

The build quality is low. Screws are light, aluminum perhaps, and some edges are not smooth across the entire device. The rubber seals could have been fit more cleanly and secured. I would have liked to see better engineering on the upper mount and cleaner cable management.

If you need a lock to keep someone out of a room, a room that you have time for failure in accessing, this might be a solid choice. I would not recommend it as primary security for your house, both because of the build quality, and it's unreliability.

Finally, this device is not Alexa ready. It requires the purchase of an additional device to do so.

**A new lock was sent to me. I installed it the way the directions state. It still would not lock properly. I decided to change the "arrow" direction and it now works. Directions state the arrow needs to be facing up when indeed it needs to be facing out.

When the door is "locked" you can not open it by pressing down on the handle. But you can pull up on the handle and it unlocks it FROM THE OUTSIDE. There is no way to keep people out.

I was looking for something like this for a while. The fingerprint reader, NFC cards, and key code functions all work great and are easy to set up. The lock itself is also pretty easy to install. One note: when installing, it might seem counter-intuitive that when you set the square pin in the lock mechanism, it seems to rotate freely. That’s because the lock needs power to switch to “unlock” and engage with the lock to open the door. This makes sense. If the doorknob loses power, it will simply remain locked (so make sure you replace batteries often).

We plan on buying another for our separate unit that we use for an AirBnB. You can set up temporary passcodes to make that easy for guests. I highly recommend this lock!

Very frustrating product

The instructions for install are very limited, and the app is not very intuitive at all. I can’t figure out how to set up my Apple Watch to work with it. The gateway also will not join my wifi, it keeps saying “operation fail”. Their customer service is only available after 6pm pacific time, so will see if they respond to my messages but this product is not as easy as reported by other reviews, very difficult thus far!

I’m happy to revise this review if I get some feedback from customer service.

When we received this I should have known to just return it since it did not have instructions to install. We worked on it for hours and even watched a Youtube video for instructions. Still after installing and taking it apart and putting it back together 5 or 6 times. The handle can be pushed up to get in, you would normally push it down after inputting a code or fingerprint. No code or fingerprint needed for mine. UHG!!

Can’t even add a fingerprint I go through the steps it asked me to put my finger on the sensor it works then it says to put my finger on the sensor again and then nothing and then the operation fails i’ve tried with different people and many times

The lock is good but you need to be careful in installation there is a need to rotate the shaft 90 degrees clockwise. Otherwise, it does not lock.
The customer service did not respond. Worst costservice I have experienced!
But the lock is good and easy to install.

Would not recommend! The first one was damaged, customer service was quick to replace it but the second one lasted about a week! Definitely will be looking into a different brand!
