Me encanta esta película. La música, los escenarios, el mensaje. De mis películas favoritas. La compré en descarga para poderla ver en todos mis dispositivos. Se ve súper bien HD.
La trama me gusta por que estudié sociología y considero que el mensaje de una utopía se muestra logrado, pero que al final siempre hay consideraciones que están fuera de control y atañen a los instintos naturales del hombre. A mí parecer muy buena.

The Indian auteur burst onto the scene with the classic `The Sixth Sense' and followed it up with the equally impressive `Unbreakable.' However, since then, his record at the box office has been shaky to say the least.

In my opinion, `The Village' (despite receiving mixed reviews) was his last excellent film, although I can see how it's not everyone's cup of tea. Those expecting a straight out horror film will be disappointed. And anyone hoping for bucket loads of blood and guts will be sorely disappointed. The Village is a slower affair, moody and well-shot as a group of people refuse to leave their village for fear of the creatures who live in the woods all around them.

Perhaps The Village could be best described as a `love story,' as the relationship between Bryce Dallas Howard and Joaquin Phoenix is central to the story.

The film boasts an impressive cast, all of whom play there parts subtly and with great understatement, all of which adds to the overall creepy, isolated environment.

It's very possible to enjoy this movie, but only if you're in the mood for something a little more subtle. It's a slow burner if ever there was one, well shot, well acted and often overlooked. Give it a go if you're up for something a little different.

I remember when this was on tele and there wasn't anything on, I was sitting wit my dad and 3 sisters, and I demanded that it stayed on because a few people has said it was really good but others said it was really boring. In all honestly, I wouldn't consider this as a thriller, I find I more romantic/tragedy, because everything in the film is all about love but it doesn't go according to plan.
I'm so glad I decided to watch it because I absolutely adore this movie, think it's thrilling, heart-warming, and that music is just beautiful. I was also impressed with that so little things happen but it doesn't get boring because you get some sort of care-ness for the characters in it, the acting was really good, the story was pretty impressive. I would recommend this movie to someone who can watch a film which nothing happens but still interested (like Titanic for example)

It is difficult to call this a true horror film and then again it is not a true mystery film either. So it is fair to say it is different from teh norm and in my book worth watching for that alone.
The twist is clever, although how you discover this is a little weak. Acting is very good and some excellent individual performances.
In summary it is worth watching but by no means an epic.
