4.0 de 5 estrellas Decent cost effective printer!
Reseñado en los Estados Unidos el 3 de septiembre de 2019

This is a very good average printer. Not high end, not cheap economy. Right in the sweet spot, right in the middle. Good value for the money.
Very easy to set up. Packaging was awesome. Zero damage and it looks like it was protected very nicely. Opened the box, put the printer in the right location, and peeled off all the orange tape. Put paper into the tray!
I did not use any of the fancy network features, so it was quite easy for me to set up. I plugged in the power, then plugged in the USB cord to my PC. And after a few minutes, I was printing.
I printed a few color photos. Looks excellent. Just like every other home color laser printer.
I did look up the OEM set of color and black toner, which is around $350. The printer was only $220. Non-OEM is about $80. From personal experience, non-OEM tone will NEVER work as good and will shorten the life of your printer. I have thrown away more then a few printers due to non-OEM toner issues. However, that is up to you based on your personal cost benefit analysis.

4.0 de 5 estrellas Impressive quality that doesn't break the bank.
Reseñado en los Estados Unidos el 15 de octubre de 2019
Estilo: Impresora
I have an older HP Pagewide multifunction printer that's getting a bit long in the tooth, and probably needs a new roller set soon. I've been adverse to replacing it with a color laser printer mostly because I haven't seen a similarly-priced laser that can produce the same quality color prints, and color toner being prohibitively expensive.

The Phaser 6510 seems to do a commendable job of overcoming both of those concerns.

Setup was pretty simple. Unbox, untape, plug it in to the wall, plug it in to an ethernet cable, and you're good to go. Both Windows 10 and Macs at my house were able to find the printer and grab drivers on their own. I did notice that when the printer goes to sleep, it doesn't try to renew the DHCP address it gets. If the DHCP address gets reassigned, the computers have a hard time finding where the printer moved to, but this was easily resolved by giving it a static address.

Print speed with text and photos was impressive, especially how fast the printer wakes up from sleep. Output is sharp and colors are accurate, with only the toner gloss as the telltale sign that the output was from a laser printer.

Toner consumption was much lower than I was expecting to see, relative to HP laser printers I've owned and used professionally. While the toner is rated at about 1,500 pages, I think this is a very conservative estimate. Genuine Xerox toner is a bit pricey, so I opted not to have the printer phone home for automatic replenishment -- but I've noticed that there are a number of third-party offerings that put the consumable price reasonably close to my PageWide, while getting laser quality as the tradeoff.

The Phaser didn't seem to have any trouble at all using light bond eco-paper. (Admittedly, it isn't my first choice, but I've got a ton of it around the house, and the PageWide hates it.) One downside is that the paper tray capacity is only 300 sheets, so you'll never be able to drop a full ream of paper into the printer without a buy-up in adding a high-cap paper tray.

As a home office printer or workgroup printer, it's hard to go wrong with this.

4.0 de 5 estrellas Great Quality at a Bargain Price
Reseñado en los Estados Unidos el 26 de agosto de 2019
Estilo: Impresora
Who would have thought until recently that you could buy a color laser printer for around $200? Xerox isn't really known for being a bargain brand, so I snatched this model up as soon as I saw it. The build quality of this printer is amazing compared to most brands. The printer itself is very, very heavy and weighs several times what an average inkjet printer does.

The print quality on this model is incredible. It is miles away better than you will find on any brand of inkjet printer and uses much less toner per print than inkjets use ink. On the downside, like most laser printers, this one uses a lot of electricity, so you should use a dedicated outlet to place it on. If you do a lot of prints during the day you will definitely notice the difference on your electric bill at the end of the month.

One area where this printer dos not excel is when it comes to user friendliness. This model was NOT made for home users or even for home office users. It was made for small to medium sized businesses. As such, it includes a LOT of networking and security options that you would never see on printers made for home use. This makes the set-up process way more complex than most home users will be able to navigate through.

However, if you are a small to medium sized business that has someone on staff that is experienced in networking you will find a lot of great features on this model that are incredibly useful. For example, it can be set up to store any scans that you do to be saved anywhere on your local network, such as dedicated network storage. The scan to e-mail feature can be used to route files through your company mail server. You can also set up individual user rights so that certain employees only have access to certain features.

I would highly encourage anyone thinking of buying this model to download the user manual to check out the numerous features that come with it. The details provided on the product page here are pretty limited and aren't really explained in any detail. The manual gives a lot more detail about how the printer works and the various options that come with it.

P.S. I notice that this printer is labeled "Amazon Dash Replenishment Enabled" in it's description. Nothing about this "feature" is included with the printer. In any event, I had read that the entire "Dash" system was being phased out by Amazon. Perhaps they need to update the printer's description.

4.0 de 5 estrellas Super High Quality Printing, other creature comforts, meh
Reseñado en los Estados Unidos el 20 de agosto de 2019
Estilo: Impresora
This printer is replacing my former HP CP2025 laserjet printer, which had lived many years for me at home and did well during it's time.

This one is taller, heavier, smaller overall and more modern, and prints really really well. I also recently got a smaller sized Lexmark laser printer for home in another area, and I think this one bests the printing of the C3326dw.

What it doesn't best though, is the way it manages sleep mode. I love how modern printers have a "super sleep mode" which you never have to fully turn the printer off, it has a very dimly lit LED, and it wakes up on its own if you print!

This one falls a little short on the sleep mode. It has a white LED all around the edge of the power button that pulses slowly, which is mostly OK. I don't prefer it. Sometimes in the night the full white LED display will power on and if your office happens to also be the bedroom this can be quite disrupting in the night. The Lexmark has a sleep mode that's a little more respectful at night.

That being said, I do appreciate the paper feed options on this printer including a plentiful regular paper tray and a secondary try for singles of things like envelopes, other paper/card stock that provides a little more guidance than the Lexmark. It's more like an HP with a full "underneath" guide, rather than your one off paper hanging out in plain air while waiting to be fed in.

Setting up the networking was easy. I'm using Ethernet and was able to lead myself through the menu system. However, another point where HP & Lexmark best this printer: they occasionally display the IP address on the LED display screen. I even tried to make my way through the menus and wasn't able to quickly see the IP. This happened once after it had been sleeping, didn't wake on its own and my PC said it wasn't able to reach the printer. While there should be a DHCP reservation I was trying to ensure it hadn't changed IPs accidentally.

All in all it's a step up from my HP, a step up from the Lexmark in some ways, and a compromise on the creature comforts compared to the Lexmark, especially if you're hosting it in a home instead of an office that gets abandoned at night.

I think this printer is a TREMENDOUS value, and for anyone who would use it in an office setting, fully recommended.

4.0 de 5 estrellas Great price for full color laser but ink replacements are $$$
Reseñado en los Estados Unidos el 12 de agosto de 2019
Estilo: Impresora
The price is really perfect for a full color laser printer. I spent 149 on a black and white so as for cost its incredible. The printer is big but not as big as i thought it would be. I have a 10 year old color laser and its the size of a mini refrigerator. Its so big and heavy its on the floor.

This one fits nicely on my desk, however its just as heavy as my older model. Not a big deal but just be warned you may need someone to help you carry it.

Ink replacements cost 60 bucks for generic all four colors. If you buy Xerox brand, they are about $80 each color. If you ever need to replace the drums they are $90 each. Also, there's a waste bin for unused ink that costs $20 to replace but that should last you 30,000 prints.

The inks should last a while if you print regularly but if this is for an office with heavier printing, you will spend a bit of money for ink replacements over time. This is where i feel it's too expensive. Thank you for lowering the printer price but then the high ink costs are a bummer. It may be cheaper to buy a new printer if you need to replace a few things in it.

Print quality is fantastic. Sharp and colorful prints. I'm using a mac and have my printer hooked up to my router so i can use it on any computer. There is no wireless built in. You have to buy a $50 adapter and from what i've read its limited in what it lets you do. Not sure on that but won't spend the money to find out. You need this to use AirPrint so this means no iPhone/iPad printing.

The printer can be slow gathering the info to print but its a little faster than my 10 year old model. I think most color lasers have a bit of a delay when printing. The printer holds the paper in the front and the pop down tray is for a quick paper change like labels or an envelop.

The small LCD display has status and ink levels. everything else is done on the computer like paper type, printing options etc.

Overall in general its a good full color printer for the price. Just keep watch on the ink replacements as they add up past the price of a new printer quick.

4.0 de 5 estrellas Easy to use. Easy to install.

This Xerox Phaser 6510/DN Color Printer is great to have for at home for a small business! The Amazon Dash Replenishment is a must have. I really didn’t know what I was missing before.

This printer is bigger than I expected it to be but it is accurate to the dimensions listed I am just terrible at measuring properly. Installation was a breeze. I have installed plenty of different printers but am no expect. The main thing that important to me is easy walk through instructions. This definitely has that covered! Also, pay attention to the handful of reviews that walk you through how to get it to print double sided properly!! It’ll save you a phone call with customer service.

The printing quality is good for both color and black and white. Can do up to 50,000 pages a month. Prints fast. Holds a lot of paper! Second tray too. The Dash is awesome but it is expensive. If you care more about quality than expense than I think it’s awesome. I never have to worry about my toner running low or being out. It does all that thinking for me. I can print from my phone or pretty much any device. I would definitely recommend it. It’s affordable. Works well. Easy to use. I’m happy!

4.0 de 5 estrellas Good Business Printer
Reseñado en los Estados Unidos el 29 de octubre de 2019
Estilo: Impresora
Color laser printers seem much harder to get right, with a wide range of prices that do not always represent print qualities. In terms of print quality, I think it is good for the price. Definitely not on par with lasers meant for photo printing, though. This has the standard banding and lack of color depth found in business class color printers. However, the colors are noticeably more accurate than many of them.

Setup was not as easy as I would like. With a typical business style printer, I just set a static IP and the job is done. With a standard home printer, there is an automatic Windows process or some included software. This printer did not want to take a static IP, but then after some time decided it would and was visible on the network. Otherwise, it is a simple standard printer setup. The toner, which can be purchased third-party, is easy to replace as well.

In terms of print speed, the main issue is a very slow startup. Once it had heated up, prints go at a good pace.

I will update this review if I have issues with smearing like another reviewer or anything else over time. Until then, I can recommend it as a relatively inexpensive way to bring good color prints to your business.

4.0 de 5 estrellas Great quality, suspect reliability, and complicated TCO
Reseñado en los Estados Unidos el 12 de septiembre de 2019
Estilo: Impresora
My experience thus far has been amazing. The print quality is great, the colors are true, and it's a pantone certified printer. Throw in the low upfront cost, and it's hard to say pass up. In the end it's a bit more complicated.

Having read some of the negative reviews, I explored consumable costs, which are rough. It's not rough if you consider this to be a great deal on a $600 printer, but in the context of a $220 printer, it's rough. It's more akin to an inkjet printer than a laser, although some color laser printers have started following this trend.

Another common theme in the negative reviews is reliability and servicing costs. I cannot verify either, but I'm inclined to believe them.

These two blemishes make this hard to make this a 5 star printer, but when you factor in the cost, it's a great printer for the right customer. It's not for folks looking for a $220 printer. It's not for people who are looking for a simple printer. It is for someone looking for great quality along with loads of options (at the expense of simplicity).

4.0 de 5 estrellas Kicked the breaker the first time I turned it on
Reseñado en los Estados Unidos el 3 de septiembre de 2019
Estilo: Impresora
I ordered this printer to be used in my home office. I don't print often, but I still like having a nice color printer available for when I do. The set up was very easy and only took a few minutes, however, the first time I powered it on it kicked the breaker. It hasn't done it since, so I'm not sure what the issue was, but I want to make other aware in case they have the same issue.

The quality of the printer device itself is very nice. The sliders and paper size adjustments are very smooth, which is something the in-home models seem to struggle with. The printer I replaced this one with was very difficult to load the paper into. My only issue with the paper tray is that it only holds half of a ream of paper and I wish it would hold a full ream. It connect to my network quickly and was recognized by my computers instantly. I'm also very pleased with the size of the unit. I have only printed a few color images to test out the quality of prints and they look great. The printer is a great unit for either a small business or home and I'm pleased with it.
