I'd had the On-Stage MY250 Plastic Euro-Style Microphone Clip for about 5 years, and it worked very well with the wired microphones that came with my Singing Machine karaoke machine. Recently, however, I upgraded to the RHM Karaoke Machine, which comes with wireless microphones that have a significantly larger diameter that the Euro-Style Clip could not fit. Very happy to report that the On-Stage MY110 holds them just fine (although it would be nice if they went in just a *little* bit more). Way better than my temp solution, which was to use rubber bands to hold the mic to the MY250 :) Very satisfied.
This item replaced a hard, plastic clip that failed after a short time. It is the second flexible clip in use on stage, and is virtually unbreakable in an environment of many techs and setup people who must do their work quickly. That haste can easily result in breakage of rigid clips, and performers who move microphones from stand to hand and back are also a bit careless, and add to the breakage. Finally, soft clips are less noisy when performers replace mics into clips. My previous soft clip is decades old and shows no sign of imminent failure...very dependable.
I'm using the Shure A50D microphone drum mounts and if I pair them with Shure brand mic clips the SM57 and SM58 stick out too far over the drum. The On-Stage MY110 clips are larger and allow these mics to be gripped up near the top of the mic, moving them out of the drummer's way.
