Excelente calidad de estos conectores tipo banana, la marca es muy recomendable, son faciles de usar, yo los use con un receptor AVR Marantz, junto con las bocinas de torre y facilita hacer las conexiones de el cableado de las bocinas al AVR.
Seems like a good idea in principle, as it removes the need for screws or solder, there's a good video of how to fit on the Sewell website. I needed 12 for my 6 channel amp - but when fitting the final plug, it was too fat for the amp terminal... it simply refused to go in. By that point I had stripped and fitted the other 11 cables and plugs, so couldn't repackage for return. I used a file to make the rogue plug smaller, but now it is a bit sloppy, and you can see that they are not actually that well made, with a thin coating of gold, (most of which has chipped off) with many thin sections to make the total plug. Because it is impossible to contact the company direct, and Amazon only allow refund upon return, there is no conversation by which I can have a single plug sent to me. I do not want to remove the plugs I have fitted, as it will ruin the cables I've already stripped. I also don't want to pay to send them back.
I guess the only proper way is to buy proper solderable plugs and solder the cables in. I wish Amazon would lend some nuance to the refund process.
These appear to be an elegant solution and the video is slick but so far I have been unable to tighten these to a degree that makes them secure. Even a modest amount of force will pull the wire from the connector. So effectively the design is junk.
Screw or solder terminals are traditional for a reason.
I had some difficulty getting these cables to function when they first arrived. At first I thought one of the channels on my amp was broken; however, after some perseverance both speakers came to life. The build quality of the cables appears good, but I was never overly excited by the sound quality - you get what you pay for I suppose. Anyway, after using these for a month and a half one of the cables has stopped functioning - the other is still working. Be warned.
Puting wires onvthe barrel are easy. The connection on the receiver works fine but on my Definitive technology and Kef speakers doesn't look good as it seems about to fell down.In short I ended up buying new banana plugs.
They dont look like this any more, they have a swivel sleeve now, they work but it is questionable if they are as good as the old design. My personal opinion is they wont fit as snug as the old design and wont last as long due to the moving parts.
Solid build, fit properly into my audio/video amplifier. Can't say the same for the fit in my speakers. The connector (pin) is to long and narrow does not insert completely into the speaker insert and it's loose (wobble). Will return to hook up wire directly to speaker for connection. Product was half successful and to me that's a fail.
The plug should have been well designed BUT the actual tip has poor tension and deforms on the first insert. So if you unplug it gets loose after. Everything else is well designed. Wish I could get a replacement.
