I don't like this brush. The bristles are stiff and sharp and it makes a terrible scratching sound when you drag the brush across the records! NOT suppose to happen! Also, it doesn't hold onto the dust very well and honestly doesn't even really do a great job cleaning the records.
No clue where these good reviews are coming from. They seem questionable at best. Any person that collects Vinyl, myself, would cringe at this product. I went on the cheap instead of buying the Audio Technica because my vinyl cleaning station is in the other room from my Stereo and phono. i just wanted an extra brush for my cleaning station. This product actually scratches your records. You have been warned.
It feels hard to touch, but given good reviews, I was dumb enough to use it. It scratched two records. You can actually "hear it" going through your records. I first thought it was something on the vinyl surface that got dragged, and did the damage, but after a second time, to the trash it went.
This brush sucks. It’s got a bristle distribution that is equal parts cheap kitchen broom and wannabe vinyl accessory knock off. It’s cheap, but go with the brush from audio technica. It costs more, but it won’t feel like you literally took the money out of your pocket and set it on fire.
It’s really that bad.
I’m not exaggerating when I say that it sounds like fingers on a chalkboard as soon as it touches my records.
Straight out of the package, on first use, I find this brush sheds. A lot. Now, I've never used a carbon fiber brush before, but I'm quite certain shedding bristles is counterproductive. Yes, it's the cheapest carbon fiber brush for records on Amazon, but for the quality you get it is really quite depressing. I would stick to the bigger brands and shell out the extra few bucks.
