Use longer arm for wider walls...

worked out great but almost returned it because the instructions were lacking. if your cubicle wall is over the standard 2.5", it doesnt explain flip flop the back piece to use the longer arm instead of the shorter arm, giving you the additional length needed for widers walls. I ran across it on another item when the light bulb went off.

I am dumb for a smart guy, so was not aware that the slider rec=versed to give the 3-1/2" width. After searching for another, i saw a video.. So my bad for being so dumb. But this is great, it has two hooks, one for my lunch case, and the other for my coat. Also, it is very sturdy.

***EDIT*** - I thought this was too small - my husband had put it together when we first got it and the opening was only 2 1/2 inches. He looked at it again and realized if he turned the adjustable piece around it becomes the perfect size. Have my jacket hanging on it in my cubicle right now. Love it and recommend it!

The description for this item states that it will fit cubicle walls up to 3 1/2 inches - this is NOT correct. The opening, when expanded as wide as it will go, is only 2 1/2 inches! If my husband can't fix it with an additional piece of wood or something similar, it'll be returned.

I was returning this because the blurb said it fit 3.5 cubical but I could not get it on mine. I started a return. Then when I placed it back in the box I saw the pictures and you have to take the slider off and place it another way for a wider ledge. It’s clever but unusual enough that you’d think they put it in the Amazon ad so people know. It fits and I’m glad!! Great hook; bad press!

I just started a new job with a cubicle (which is way more exciting than it should be) and I realized I had absolutely nowhere to put my winter coat. Most of the office had been sent home to work remotely in the spring and the office was kind of hollowed out, so there was no coat rack or anywhere to hang anything. So imagine my delight when I found this cubicle wall hook! It holds my heaviest winter coat and a scarf with no problem and keeps them out of my way and off the floor. It is adjustable to multiple cubicle wall widths and feels secure and heavy-duty and I absolutely love it. Definitely recommend for those of us still using cubicles or who will one day use a cubicle again.

Bought for work in cubicle land. Need for coats and unbrella. Looks ok. Came loose in box with some box damage and actual hook looks used maybe. You can see in a couple of the pics where there is some imperfections or damage but not enough to make me want to return it. It’s plastic and lightweight but feels solid enough to do the job. Has a screw to adjust size and you can flip flop the back hang over side from short to long to fit to different size walls. Seems ok for now- will test at work and update review after some use. see pics for details

Easy to adjust with a phillips screwdriver. Holds my 5-8 pound backpack and my winter coat just fine. I bought mine a couple days before my employer handed out a bunch of identical ones for everyone else.

One quirk I've noticed that you should consider. Some of our cubicles have a window segment on the upper portion. These lean awkwardly into the gap created by the window unless you slide them over to where there is no such gap. I suspect they will wear out and break sooner by being awkwardly seated at an angle like that on top.

The price seems a little high (~$9) for what it is. But that's probably largely due to the convenience of online ordering of such a small item and the free shipping.

For the price, I was expecting something better. It requires a screwdriver, and no instructions tell you that you have to disassemble it entirely and flip it around for 3" walls. It's also plastic. I'm not sure it'll last. For narrower walls, there's a lot of cheaper, better options. For 3" cubicle walls, this was the best I could find.

Right now it holds my laptop bag and my winter coat. It definitely strains under the weight of it, but it has held for a couple of months now.

As many other reviewers have pointed out this does not come with instructions, so if you need a wider width you will need to flip the piece around. I mean it does what it needs to do, you will need a Phillips screwdriver to adjust, and it will hold a bag and jacket off the floor. The bag hook piece is hooked into the main hanging piece, so really this will work as long as those pegs don't break. What really made me realize that it was two pieces is that the bag hook piece is a grey-blue color. Not a fan of the two tone color scheme

I have a coworker and one day I overheard her saying she wish she had something to hang her bag on at her cubicle so I figured this would be a nice suprise. There are a few different ones out there but this was the one I settled on cause it's the perfect size for her space. It looks like it's holding up nice so far and she seems very pleased with it so its an easy 5 star for me.
