Good solid mount ruined by poor packaging

The thing works well, came with a variety of screws for attaching to the wall but ended up using wall mate, just to be sure. The brackets themselves are well made but one of the bags was opened and tangled around one of the mounts, and one of the pads was irreparably stuck to the bag, as per photo. It was still usable however very disappointing given the otherwise premium look of the things

Let's start with the good. These are well-made and do hold speakers quite well. I have no concerns about placing my 5.25" bookshelf speakers on these wall-mounts. The metal appears to be a decent gauge and every bolt can be tightened down nicely. All good here.

My biggest complaint, and it's really annoying, is the ability(or lack thereof) to conceal in-wall speaker wire as it exits the drywall. Basically, the stud-mounting holes are directly lined up with the back of the rectangular "tube arm". The result of this, is that you have to make this wonky cutout in your drywall to run speaker wire into the mount. It's really annoying.

Other than the above-mentioned problem, I like these mounts. Would consider other options if purchasing something similar again.

On one hand, the finished product looks nice, and the mount holds my 20lb bookshelf speakers. It does what it should.

The assembly is so ridiculous that it seemed like a practical joke. Only half the washers fit, the bottom nut for the main bolt just spins because the geniuses decided to use a bolt with a round head and no screwdriver/wrench can hold it in place. I eventually had to use needlenose pliers to keep it in place, albeit stripping the black coating off as it frequently lost grip.

The in-wall cable routing is fatally flawed. The cover plate for the mount should be 2 pieces that snap together, which would allow you to route the cable through the mount before screwing the mount to the wall. Instead, you have to feed the wire halfway through the mount, screw the mount to the wall, put on the cover plate, then attempt to get the wire through the ridiculously small hole with tweezers. There is no way around this as the cover plate HAS to slide over the routing hole, which it cant do if there is a wire there. This took a very long time.

Oh and the "pads" are ok to stop the speaker from scratching, but they are not sound isolating pads. You'll need to buy more padding if you plan on running low frequency bass into the speakers.

A big part of me wants to give this 1 star. There are some things that you assemble that make you think "oh well if they just did this it would have made it easier", and there are some assemblies that are so frustrating that you want to rip it out of the wall and return it. This definitely fell into the latter category. But in the end, it looks nice and holds my speakers. 3 stars it is.

Irritating installation...

Good construction and nice thick wall screws. However the product was irritating at best to install. In the above pictures of assembly #2 was not the case. The wall mount and shaft came assembled. I tried to unscrew the shaft from the mount and it started to strip the screw head (hand turned screw driver) without the screw moving at all. I fed the speaker wire through the mount and shaft which was nice to conceal the wires. However after attaching the mount to the wall the speaker wire had to be dropped back into the shaft to allow the plastic mount cover to slide down the shaft and cover the wall mount. Getting the wires back out of the hole was an irritating task to say the least. The adjustable width to hold the speaker was more than adequate, however the screws that go into these to give the speaker extra stability were wood screws not set screws. So if you want to use them just know that you will damage your speaker housing. Overall the look and hardware quality is above average. It looks lovely and provides a sturdy wall mount. On the other hand the description and directions in the ad are misleading and sometimes an outright lie. For this I give it three stars and only recommend it if you are patient and have above average assembly skills.

The mounts themselves are sturdy and really well made and I would definitely recommend. The mounting hardware provided is completely useless though. I was able to pull the screws right out of the drywall anchors. Expect that you will need to purchase your own mounting hardware if mounting to drywall. This resulted in an annoying trip to the hardware store.

Also, no instructions provided or available on their website. Though it is fairly self explanatory.

The quality of this product seems great for the price. The only issue I have is with it's terrible cable management design. Because the mounting bracket sits flush to the wall and the wire hole is on that same line as the stud and mounting screws, you need to cut some weird cuts in the drywall to feed it through. Luckily, the plates are large enough to cover the portion of the wall I had to mutilate. When it's all said and done, the brackets are very sturdy, look great, and are a great value. Just what's required in the installation is baffling

The back cover is plastic. It arrived cracked. I still used it my speakers are large enough that they cover it up. It bothers me though that the piece is made out of flimsy plastic and it arrived broken.

These mounts are awesome for HUGE speakers. Mine were smaller in Item Dimensions 7.3 x 6.5 x 10.7 in. I actually reversed the entire design and put the mount on the wall mount backwards so they didn't hang out from the wall by 20+ inches.... Very simple... U just cant use the cover plate on the wall mount (no big deal at all). I would suggest that the company make the cover smaller this way they can just change the install instructions:) I would buy again....
