V.a. deswegen zwei Sterne Abzug.
i think for heart monitor 10k is too much ...but it will suffice one's workout requirement ... not good for swimming...the strap comes down ..doesnt stick to body ... good for running and cycling ... major flow is that it doesnt connect through Bluetooth...major set back when working out on zwift ..it should have Bluetooth too... i have used it extensively as i am a triathlete... some time it show heart spikes upto 234bpm ...which can be easily neglected otherwise the product is sturdy and comfortable to use reliable most of the time ... gets connected very fast and easily to my garmin 935 foesnt require much maintenance
It is good heart rate monitor with all the feature of the "run" version (exactly the same function, like balance, stride length, ground contact time etc.) which can be also used for swimming (same feature as "swim version) However I am disappointed it lasted only two and a half year. I know, it is electronic but some 4 of 5 years would be nicer. Still looks like new but does not connect to my Forerunner 935 anymore. I replaced battery, washed the strap, basically followed all the instruction but I am unable to revive the device. Bought it in October 2019 and in March 2022 is dead. Visually looks ideal, no damage but electronic stopped working. Doesn't connect to my Forerunner 935 anymore. I tried everything, washing belt, changing battery, resetting/restarting watch, resetting HRM itself by recommended methods, cleaning with electronic solvent cleaner at the end, and nothing helped. I also erased the sensor from the memory of my watch and tried to connect it as "new" but it is not found. I had to by a new HRM. I chose Garmin HRM-Pro. Hopefully it will last longer. The new seller gave me an extra warranty.
I bought this chest strap heart rate monitor to replace an older Garmin version. Paired it to a number of Garmin devices including a Fenix 5 and 6 watch and Edge 500 and 1000 Cyclometers. No issues with pairing, connecting during an activity and the additional functionality to collect data when swimming and the additional running metrics make the strap a joy for those into tracking their workout data. I have found the capture of heart rate to be consistent and accurate. It's comfortable to wear and easy to care for as long as you follow the instructions. I train 6 days a week so the strap gets used hard and overall other than a few wrinkles in the strap and perhaps a little wear on the band it looks almost new. I have had to change the battery a few times but the connection with other Garmin devices is nice in that it notifies you when the battery is low (Fenix 6). At this point folks are probably questioning the 3 star review. The three stars is due to the fact that after 7 months of use it started recording information inaccurately and stopping recording information altogether after I changed out the battery (and tried troubleshooting tips from the Garmin forum to no avail). Hand-washed in Ivory dish detergent every week, check. Rinsed out between activities in plain water, check. Red seal intact, check, battery in correctly, check, all screws tightened, check, but no connection to any device. Even tried deleting from the device and reconnecting. I will concur with other reviewers, for a device costing over $100 when purchased last year and only 7 months of use, I feel a bit cheated. And with Garmin's new chest heart rate monitors (unlike the old) the sensor is integrated into the strap, no disconnecting the sensor and replacing a worn strap or buying just the sensor, it's all or nothing. I am going to give Garmin another shot here, maybe that's a mistake but I do like the additional running metrics, and the swim recording capabilities without the need for yet another device.
I like that it doesn't require batteries and is mostly mindless operation. However, it randomly won't connect to my Garmin Forerunner 935 at times and just is a total headache to pair. It needs to be wet and then on your chest but it still doesn't always work reliably. It would also be nice if they could figure out a way to make a triathlon heart rate chest monitor that actually works in a pool and open water.
I really liked this unit for the first 10 months....then I needed to change the battery. There are 4 small screws you have to remove to change the battery. 3 of the 4 were "stripped" or rusted (waterproof unit?) and won't come out. They just turn and turn. Can't change the battery. Return and product support window have closed. Disappointing.
