not too bad for a cheap entry kit, good for streaming, and possibly good enough for starting home studios. The included headphones are very, very cheap. I mean ludicrously cheap. Did not take much to break them. Lost sound in one hear without apparent external damage. I suspect the detachable cable might have gone worn out after a few months of use. Good thing I bought Audio Technica headphones at the same time. The cheap ones they include with the kit also sound very trebly, without any bass in it. They feel cheap plastic and are not at all comfortable. You could wear hard plastic blocks directly on your ears and that would feel the same. The microphone and the stand are the big rockstars in this kit though, They are quite good for the price. Did not try the XLR box yet because my audio interface already has phantom power (one note of notice here: You NEED 48v phantom power to make the mic work. Period. So better get this kit with the phantom power block if you don't already have it on your audio interface)
For the cost, this setup performs amazing! Paired with the included phantom power you get good quality of audio with little white noise. If you pair it with something like the scarlet 2i2 it will sound even better and be much clearer.
It is a very good deal for the inexpensive end of microphones. The quality is very nice and the headset is amazing. The arm does give me trouble from time to time but that is if I am tinkering and adjusting longer than I need to. I don't know how it works with most audio recording software, but it is mediocre with Audacity. If you go that route, then I suggest picking up something compatible that gives more control to equalization, noise reduction, etc. Works well with social programs like Discord. Also if anyone asks, it is compatible with Windows 10!
The Microphone arrived damaged, nobody's fault it happens. Customer service was great and sent out a new one very quickly, will be here in 2 days. I will adjust my review when it arrives but for now, 4 stars. Aside from the Microphone everything else is great, the boom arm doesn't feel as cheap as some say so no worries there. Would recommend getting an audio interface when you can afford one but the 48v phantom power supply works for beginners
