Easy to assemble!

Perfect size for our 8ft tree. I take horrible pics so the ones I added to this review didn't do it justice. So happy to finally have a simple but elegant tree topper. Super simple to pop together. I didn't even need the zip ties or stake that came with it to affix it to the top. I didn't care for the stark white look but I just gave it a dusting with pale gold heat resistant spray paint. PERFECT. I only had 1 issue. The bulb did not come with it as described. My husband had to go to Lowes to find an LED that fit. I did send company an email about the missing bulb but have yet to receive any feedback. For this reason I gave it 3 stars

I admit missing it had to be assembled.Yes I know (now) it's smack in the heading,but it was late, I was tired & had looked at a few thousand stars by the time I saw this one,but still my fault. In my & my husbands opinion it is not worth the price when we had to put it together.Assembly was neither hard nor easy.It was a tedious pita.Husband has tree trunk size fingers on moose paws so it was hard for him to grasp those little dohickies and get between the pieces.I have arthritis in my fingers and could not grasp them.We invented a few new curse words while putting it together. I would have returned were it not so late in the month. It looks a nice from a distance,but again we both feel it is not worth the price.

Always looking for a star for the top of my Christmas tree. I have never seen one I like. So I bought this thing online that is basically 16 cones -- all opaque white plastic. All connect using dozens of fasteners. Has a bright light inside. When assembled, it's a multi point star. But the fasteners show when the bright light is on and it looks stupid. And it doesn't match the tree. So I ripped the light kit out. Took off a cone in the back. Stuffed it with some of the lights that are on the tree. It looks great now. The fasteners are no longer the first thing you see. And I can change the color of the lights--there are 20 or 24 different combinations. So the color of the star always matches the lights on the tree. I'm in love!! And it's completely safe. Yay!!

The assemble directions are worthless and the design of how the cord goes into the center it poor. I had to sand the socket down so it would fit through the side opening. Then the green support stick can go it the center hole. A little wiggly on my artificial tree but DAMN it looks good. Glows from across the room and looks beautiful. If you are handy and can reengineer it is worth the money. Not plug and play.

This product's value is about $5.00. Plastic and the form the points attract to had to be glued in order for the points to stay put as others were added.

It assembled attractive.
It, however, has a GREEN CORD, and that's most distress if you want to hang it rather than use as a tree topper.

We all know everything is made in China for the Corporations to enjoy greater profits. That is fully a R side subject they support. Remember that when they try to distract you with 1 of their 2 platform hooks.

This is an attractive star. It does not allow for hanging on a white porch, nor does it offer a hanging method. The larger version may vary on this point.

I'm going to attempt to drill a tiny hole by where the stick would be placed and use a smallcircle hook to thread in fishing line.

The GREEN CORD, well either Spray paint white or wrap with white floral tape, I suppose.

At any rate - you have the just of the product and its up to your tenacity level "should you choose to accept this mission" 😉

Pretty but disappointing

This Moravian star arrived with two broken pieces: One of the triangular pieces, and the base piece in which the light is connected. We put it together anyway and used tape to hold the broken pieces together more securely- it's very pretty when lit. We even hung it, but the moment we got some wind, it fell apart the base (where it was already cracked). A bummer, really, since it took a while to put together and hang properly. The company should send some extra pieces since they're just plastic and would be easy for the owner to replace. We ended up returning it.

WARNINGGG Prong Problem!!!

I would give this 5 stars but unfortunately the prong on the plug does not connect to a standard christmas light string. I ended up having to take my christmas lights off and put them on the tree so the two plugs were next to eachother and then lift an extension cord with 3 outlets up to the top of the tree. Very upsetting as this clearly is meant to easily attach to a strand of lights on a christmas tree. Also all the included green zip ties broke each time I tried to use one. I ended up using the twist tie that came with the strand of light. And it took awhile to assemble. I wish there were other options for outdoor stars but this was the only one I could find.

This is a beautiful product seemingly designed by an origami artist, and the end result is stunning. That said, it requires assembly and parts didn't fit right and required outside purchases to finish the installation. Were it not for my husband's mechanical ability, I would have had to return it. Instructions are not comprehensible. One clasp did not fit, and strangely the instructions said it was optional anyway (huh?). The 12" zip ties were way too long to fasten the star to a standard one-inch diameter tree top; fortunately had some 4" ones left over in my toolkit. Lastly, the star plug is *polarized* and does not plug into the rest of the Christmas lights that run down the tree. Instead, we had to buy a separate polarized extension cord to connect to the star. This seems ridiculous. Why polarized? Elf Logic needs to hire some engineers to help with the details that the typical customer expects in something so simple.

Don't Slip

Assembly was easy, looked great. The little cable tie that was supposed to keep the cord from slipping through the top point did not. Therefore the cord slipped, allowing the light bulb to lodge up in the top point, causing it to partially burn through the point. The good news is that it didn't cause a fire on our front porch. If you buy one of these add some circumference to the cable tie to keep the cord from slipping and allowing the bulb to contact the star. I suggest the manufacturer equip these with LED bulbs so they won't burn through.

This was beautiful hanging on my front porch (and not too much of a pain to assemble) however one good gust of winter wind was enough to separate the star from the top piece that holds the light bulb (I was left with only the top point hanging on my porch). Because it fell down, several pieces ended up breaking and its no longer usable. I'm definitely disappointed that the plastic clips that hold it all together were not stronger - a few of them bent during assemble and several broke during the fall.

That said, I have a smaller one of these as a tree topper and still really like it. I just likely will replace this one with a tin one that is hopefully more durable.
