Worked well whilst initially and then broke after about 6 months. Had a similar experience with other cheap wireless systems.

5.0 de 5 estrellas Way cool, Elegant styling, nice battery life, no discernable lag

By far, the Blackwing is the best-looking receiver-transmitter set you can buy. Smooth, shiny and black, sculpted with no sharp corners. It just feels as good in your hand as it looks. The flying bat-wing "S" logo is perfect. And the specs are great, too. With a response of just 2/1000 second, you'll never notice any lag time at all. Frequency response and fidelity are fine over the entire range of my bass guitar. The batteries last longer than I can keep playing, and they also have a 4-LED indicator to give you plenty of warning when it's time to charge. (If any of this was helpful, kindly click to say so. Thanks!)

2.0 de 5 estrellas Super easy to use but it changed my sound - but you still could try it.
Reseñado en los Estados Unidos el 28 de marzo de 2021
Color: NegroCompra verificada
First off: I returned mine after testing them for about a half-hour.

Packaging was cool, nice looking little units. I charged them up, plugged them in per the instructions and -- boom -- I was playing through my amp wirelessly. What freedom!

That said, I didn't like what I heard. Sound dropped out, and it also changed my sound. Read on for details.

I first tried with a guitar that has active EMGs in it. I noticed the sound drop out for a beat, multiple times, at random. Maybe that wouldn't be bad depending on what you're playing, but I was using them for metal so when I had a good rhythm going and a beat skipped out, it was noticeable. Wasn't constant, but random. It seemed almost like it had a problem keeping up with fast muted picking?

I then tried a guitar with passive pickups. I didn't notice the skip like with the active pickups, but that could just be a fluke; when I went back to the EMG-equipped guitar, I noticed it again, so who knows.

But the main problem I had: No matter which guitar I used -- I tried with 3 -- this product acted like a *noise gate* ... I was able to touch strings and it wouldn't register below a certain threshold. I lost a lot (most?) of the natural sound. If I'm touching my strings, that means I want sound to come out. Sometimes the sound I want is so close to natural that I'll barely touch the strings, but using a cable I can do that. With these, I lost a piece of that, and it was especially bothersome.

I don't know the exact correct words for it, but that's what it was like to me - a noise gate at the instrument level; when playing, sustain wasn't affected like a noise gate in your effect chain, but on the attack side.

Also, I felt like there was a bit of artificial sound when playing -- people say EMGs do that on their own, but I felt like it didn't matter which guitar I was using, I felt like it was condensed a little. But honestly, at that point I had already experienced the other two issues so I might have just been being overly critical at that point.

All that said -- these were on sale for a decent price, so I gave it a shot. And, honestly, they were easy to use and nicely designed, and they did technically work, so you should give them a shot as long as you check them out before the return window. Because I don't know if I got a bum pair or something, Amazon didn't charge for return shipping and even picked it up via UPS. So you can't lose, and it might work out better for you. I definitely like the concept and the ease of use. But I have also played through the older bulky wireless systems and this definitely did not compare to that, sound-wise.

5.0 de 5 estrellas Used by Gigging Guitarist
Reseñado en los Estados Unidos el 10 de julio de 2020

I've been using the Swiff wireless guitar system for about 9 months, and I have nothing bad to say. Sound quality is excellent. Changing channels is easy when necessary. The battery life is good for two rehearsals and certainly for a 3 hour gig - and I've used it for several 4 hour gigs (I do turn the transmitter and receiver off during breaks). I have no doubt about the advertised battery life. From time to time, maybe every other gig, I will notice perhaps a 250ms cutout...but I can tell you that a $200+ system will do that as well. I also wear a wireless monitor and there is no interaction or interference between the two systems. These things work and work well. I wouldn't want to step on one...but I'm also not that clumsy. I've brought a back-up cable to every rehearsal and gig for the last 9 months and I've yet to use it.

3.0 de 5 estrellas Wouldn't recommend for "stage" use, unless you're prepared for the drawbacks.

I'm a semi-professional musician - which means I play regularly and I get paid to do it, but I don't do it for a living. I bought a pair of these to try out as a possible solution for some wireless in ear monitors at 2 gigs this weekend.
I charged both units, and paired and tested them with my guitar rig at home, and they seemed to work fine. I also set up my board and connected them to the aux out to make sure I could use them as a transmitter from our mixer board with the receiver plugged into a Behringer P2 IEM without any issue. That worked too. All in, this makes it about a 120.00 personal wireless monitor setup, so that's pretty cool.
However, during both of my tests, this was the only wireless device running. When I'm playing live, there are at least 4 other wireless systems running.
All gigs consist of 45 minute sets with 15 minute breaks. I turned off both the transmitter and receiver during these break times.
In both cases, the battery on both the transmitter and receiver lasted the whole show.
Also, in both of these cases, I'm within 5-15 feet of the transmitter with the receiver attached to the Behringer P2 on my belt behind my back. However, at gig1, the transmitter is behind me, at gig2 the transmitter is in front of me.
Gig #1 was 3 hours, in a suburban bar. For the most part, they worked. I noticed a few dropouts that seemed to start happening later in the gig. They were very brief.
Gig #2 was 4 hours, in an urban bar. Here's where I noticed a lot of dropouts, and they seemed to get worse as the night went on. It's worth noting that at this location, one of my other older 600MHz systems picks up a lot of interference, but that interference goes away when I turn on the transmitter, and that system doesn't drop out. It's possible that my own body was in the way.
Overall, I'd have been thrilled with this system 10-15 years ago. Compared to the XVive, these fall far short. The build quality is clearly lower than the Xvive, and I absolutely wouldn't trust these for playing a show simply based on that. The XVive swivel feels sturdier, and stays where you put it. That means, if you bend it into a U shape, that's how it stays. These simply flop around. Also the XVive people even put padding on the unit where it will impact your guitar to prevent any damage. These have none of that. Combine that with the dropouts, and it's a deal killer.
I'd say, if you're practicing in your house and you want a cheap solution to get rid of the cord that your roomba keeps sucking up, buy these. If you're gigging, look elsewhere - possibly XVive or Boss.

*edit*
I have now used these with that behringer p2 as a wireless monitor for at least 5 shows varying between 2 and 4 hours. The dropouts are manageable, but consistant. I am still willing to deal with them since the cost is so low and I'm the only one listening.

4.0 de 5 estrellas First impression is good with a few reservations
Reseñado en los Estados Unidos el 24 de abril de 2021

First impression is good with a few reservations... i bought the Swiff WS50 UHF and the Lakato WS70 UHF wireless systems. These products represent the two most common and well reviewed designs (WS50 and WS70) sold under many brand names on Amazon. Both designs are great choices. You can't go wrong.

Both designs introduce a hiss into the sound. The hiss from the WS50 is higher pitched and louder than the hiss from the WS70 design. The output of the Ws50 is a little louder than the WS70 (which may be why the hiss is louder), but both designs are lower output than a short cable. Both designs have less high frequency roll off than happens with a cable with the tone of the WS50 being very balanced. The ws70 tone was closer to the tone of the cable. I like the tone i get with both designs for different reasons. The WS50 clear tone gives more clean tone options while the WS70 seems to break up overdrives earlier with more harmonics. Both are awesome sound options.

Both designs have had about 3 drop outs in 3 hours of use. The battery life is about the same. The battery indicators on the WS50 are way better than on the WS70 which bleed into each other so it is really difficult to see how much battery is left. Both designs will do a 4 hour gig. When charging from zero battery for an hour, both designs could play for over 2 hours.

Once when i had the WS70 going from guitar to pedal board and the WS50 going pedal board to amp, the sustain of the note would get choked off like a noise gate kicked in. It did not happen as much when i swapped the WS50 to the guitar and the WS70 to the amp. But the sustain using a chord was better. This would only matter when playing quiet songs with guitar volume turned down low. You don't notice it when rocking.

Bottom line is that i will probably keep both and go full wire less. But, I'll always have cables at the ready. We some times play 6 hour gigs, so I'll have to do at least some of those shows wired, no pun intended :-)

UPDATE: I ended up returning both of the UHF units. I really liked them and wanted them to stay, but the since I use my volume control on my guitar a lot, the gating of low signals just won't work in all situations. I ordered some 2.4Ghz systems and 5.8Ghz systems to try out and some of those don't have the gating problem and my old UHF AKG does not have the gating problem. In those units, the signal fades away just like it does with a wire. I finally figured out that is the most important quality for my use. If you play with your guitar or bass full up all the time, you might not notice the gating issue. Apart from the gating issue, i really like these units.

5.0 de 5 estrellas Works better than some more expensive units

I had wanted to get a wireless system for playing bass but was not sure what to get. I had tried a friend's expensive version similar to these but found that it didn't have the sustain that I wanted for my bass. So, when these went on sale on a lightning sale I picked them up and I am glad I did. I have used them for about 4 gigs and the battery has lasted, I've not suffered any drop outs, my bass still has the same sustain that I get when connected via a cord, and these are easy and quick to recharge. They are so easy to use and I do like them a lot. I did find that they didn't work all that well with my Ibanez GSR206 active pickups. But definitely great for passive. My Fender American Standard with flat wounds sounds great using these. So, I highly recommend them and I'm considering buying another set or two to make it easier to switch between instruments.

1.0 de 5 estrellas Quite a Disappointment
Reseñado en los Estados Unidos el 11 de noviembre de 2021

I was excited to finally get a wireless system for my guitar collection. Almost immediately after I plugged in, I noticed three things that stood out to me as concerns, and ultimately a dealbreaker.

1. Tone: The difference between the sound of my rig plugged in versus using this wireless was quite significant. Irregardless of a clean or distorted channel, there’s a noticeable hiss. It’s more like a white noise versus a tone, if that makes sense.

2. The signal strength: while plugged in with a normal cable, I receive normal signal strength. While using this wireless system, it’s almost as if I’ve turned the gain knob down about 1/3. There was also a gated effect where notes would almost cut off while holding them.

3. Sustain: indirectly related to the gain issue above, I noticed that while holding out notes, the sustain of that note drops off rapidly. While using this wireless system, I feel like I’m almost fighting the guitar to play it.

Overall these items are a dealbreaker for me, so I’m returning the unit. However a few things I did want to highlight that were positive experiences for me were the following:

Latency: I’ve used other wireless systems with very noticeable latency from the time I strum a note, to the time I hear it through the speakers. With this unit, it was almost impossible to notice any latency.

Dropout: after walking around my house while playing, I’ve noticed zero drop outs with this unit. I really put it to the test, so the wireless connection from instrument to receiver is very stable and reliable.

Overall, I wanted this to work because it’s a very inexpensive option compared to other more traditional name branded wireless systems. Obviously, I’ll keep shopping. If you purchase this unit I hope you have a better experience than I did.

5.0 de 5 estrellas Possibly the best in this price range

I got these to replace $40 Getaria 2.4GHz units, which had significant issues with battery life, interference with guitar wiring and latency at distance. Thanks to Amazon for making it right.

The WS-50 system is significantly better. Signal is clean, latency is super low and battery life is acceptable. Not the 7 hours I had hoped for given some of the specs and gushing reviews, but a solid 5+ hours which is pretty much what it says on the box.

Minor negatives: they are a bit on the large side, and the green circle LED’s are too bright, drawing attention to themselves and presumably burning battery power unnecessarily.

I paid about $60 for these, but just saw an opportunity to get the WS-70 for $36 on Amazon which I took - watch this space for update.
