I really had trouble between deciding on the Amazon basics versus a known brand like fender. After already spending so much on guitar and amp and such I didn’t want to cheap out on a cord but I also wanted to save money where I could. This cord performs incredibly well, so well-made and we really appreciate the L shape which makes it last a lot longer as it won’t be bent constantly at the amp. Next time I would probably prefer an L on both ends so that it can been properly at the amp and the guitar. But this is so well-made it should really last forever even with a 10-year-old constantly using it with his electric guitar
I actually chose this for the colour expecting nothing amazing as far as functionality. It connects an electric guitar just fine to the very basic budget interface it was bought for and, with a bit of fiddling can be made NOT to hum though the initial connection DID hum more than another cord purchased for a few $$ more . Time will tell if it is durable but it works and looks fine .
As the old saying goes, you get what you pay for. Is it the sturdiest patch chord I’ve ever purchased? On the other hand, is it the poorest quality guitar cable I’ve ever purchased? No. Seems to be a good, basic chord(it is called AmazonBasics) that does the job, and doesn’t look like a piece of junk either, not a bad job on the classic tweed look. Haven’t had it that long, if it lets me down I’ll update the review, but so far, so good.
I'm pretty new to the guitar world. I ordered this to go with a new Orange amp I picked up. It works fine, but 10 ft is really not a great length from you to the amp...If I had ever owned an amp I probably would have realized this...so now you can learn from my mistakes too! FIFTEEN FOOT LENGTH WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER FOR SURE
Great value! Cable looks and feels well made, no issues at all. 1/4” end connects are sturdy and feel good quality. Cable itself is slightly thinner than my higher end cables but no noticeable drop off in sound quality. Purchased 2 for that price!
