I didn't expect much for the price. We have a second tv that has terrible sound, so I just wanted a sound bar to make it possible to watch movies without wincing. The sound quality on our cheapie tv is now really good. No complaints about the sound at all. Unfortunately, the remote doesn't work at all and the power button doesn't turn the unit off, so I have to unplug it when not in use. Again, for the money, that's not a deal breaker for me. It might be for you.
This speaker and subwoofer combo is perfect for enhancing sound levels to a tv in a small room. The volume level can be turned up without causing that static sound. It also plugs into the wall so no chance that it won't power on. The remote control is appropriately labeled so that you know exactly what kind of changes you are making to the sound quality. Overall this set is an awesome value for the money!
I purchased a soundbar to go with my computer that I just recently built I can tell you that it sounds decent but for the price I have seen better sound bars usually to get a soundbar with the subwoofer. You have to spend more money so with that being said that's the reason I gave it a four-star
I tried a budget sound bar once before, and was so disappointed that I didn’t even use it I ended up using a pair of $20 computer speakers which sounded much better. This cost just a few dollars more and includes a sub woofer, so it was worth a try.
For a low priced sound bar with sub woofer, this has a surprisingly high quality look and feel. The sound bar features wall mounts, which is perfect for my wall mounted TV. Having a Bluetooth sub woofer is also a real plus for a wall mounted TV to eliminate the cord and allow for placement anywhere in the room.
I wasn’t expecting perfect clarity for this price. I just didn’t want a lot of distortion. The sound is fairly clear and adds fullness to the sound that the narrow TV speakers can’t provide. The powered sub-woofer is fairly passive, and does not try to do more than it is capable of. It provides some enhancement for bass without booming or popping. It will not shake your room, but it also will not get annoying bass distortion, so it does serve its purpose.
There are 3 settings for the sound: Music, Talk and Movie. I leave it on Music all of the time because is looses the fullness of sound on the other 2 settings. The Talk setting sounds very tinny, but the Movie setting is very good for clear voice. The volume is adequate for an average room, but it will not really get loud. When you turn up the volume, you have to press and release the button several times. Holding it down very long will produce a loud beep.
Set up was a breeze, and the sub woofer paired with the speaker easily. This has RCA connection jacks, so make sure you TV has RCA outputs. If not, there is an input for a headphone jack.
This is not going to take the place of a good surround sound system, but it is a big improvement over the TV speakers and works great for a wall mounted TV. For a budget system, it does a good job – better than most I’ve seen.
