Essentially, I had an older model of this one, and it finally gave out. I use for my 2.1 theater/surround sound and love it! Especially since it has the BT functionality that my prior one didn't have. So now, I still get to use my theater sound via the fiber/TOSLINK connection, plus pump my music via BT thru it, when I am working out and running on my treadmill. WIN, WIN, WINNING! Everything sounds great thru this device and it's worth every penny!
Using the LINKFOR to watch TV while temporarily in an apartment without my AV system. With dialog so poorly handled most of the time in the stereo down mix, making dialog difficult to understand at lower volumes, I have resorted to watching with headphones. I got tired of my wireless Bluetooth headphones dying at in opportune moments, so picked up the LINKFOR to use with my wired headphones.
It took a few reboots on the TV and LINKFOR for sound to align over Bluetooth, but it finally got there. Meanwhile, I ordered a long optical cable to run around the edge of the room, and am now listening via the Toslink (optical) input.
I was happy the LINKFOR solved my battery life problem. This may not be not hi-end audio, but the device works and sounds very good. (I have not tried the coaxial input.)
I needed to solve two problems....1st eliminate an electrical hum that I was experiencing when connecting the RCA L/R Audio Out of my TV to my Receiver/Amp and 2nd providing a BlueTooth input to my non-BlueTooth-Enabled Receiver/Amp. This device solved both problems flawlessly. Connecting my TV's Optical Out (set to PCM) to the device's Optical Audio Input and then the device's L/R Analog Audio Output to my Receiver/Amp solved the 1st issue. Then, Linking my Phone wirelessly to the device via the device's Built-In Bluetooth Receiver and using same L/R Analog Audio Output of the device to my Receiver/Amp, now allows me to listen to Pandora, Spotify, etc. , solving the 2nd issue. Best of all, I can select between the inputs via the press of a button. And, as an added bonus, the User-Selectable Gain (Low/High) and Volume Knob provide excellent control over Input/Output Levels to ensure perfect compatibility with your existing setup. Well built, excellent sound quality and everything you need comes in the box for immediate enjoyment! Look no further. Perfect solution at an unbeatable price.
Finally got my JBL monitors and monolith sub hooked in. Super easy to get set up, great sound quality. Wish that it came with a remote so that I could control volume from the couch (because I'm lazy). Sometimes different shows / movies / songs are mixed in such a way that it shatters my eardrums lol
