If you are looking for a sturdy, professional-looking mic stand of this type and in this price range, this is absolutely it. I bought it as a replacement for a NEEWER-brand mic stand. This feels much more sturdily built and I expect it to last for a while. The springs are very strong, so much in fact that if you need to extend the arm more than 90 degrees or so, it may not hold the position and will bounce back. But this is not an issue for me because I've clamped it on the end of the desk closest to my body.
I love how easy it is to set up and how firm the mount stand is. The only issue I had was that the spring tension made it difficult to have it orientated exactly how I wanted. I had to tighten the bolts at the hinges to keep it from retracting to it’s natural form, which was a quick fix, but for someone who might not come to the same conclusion might be a big issue.
The microphone stand for its price does exactley what its supposed to do, i have had this for a few months now, cleared space on my desk and doesnt sag or anything like that. Works great with my Samson G track pro
Three years ago I bought the neewer model for $2 less @ $15.99. Recently I noticed it started sagging and could no longer support my MXL condenser Mic. I noticed a bend in the mounting finger, so I just received the InnoGear heavy duty stand. Quality and strength are like day & night, InnoGear, for $2 more, is the better product by far!!
