I was reluctant to purchase these speaker stands because there were no reviews. But, I am glad I did. The stands are beautiful and elegant. My wife even likes them and she is really picky about furnishings of any type. These stands are also sturdy and easy to assemble. It took me about 5 minutes per stand. The only thing that would make these stands even better would be a hole in the glass base so that the speaker wire (coming down the pipe) would actually come out from BELOW the base of the speaker stand. Right now the wire exits a hole at the bottom of the pole and you can see the speaker wire as it crosses the stand bottom. BTW... I am using Klipsch bookshelf speakers.

These were a great value for the price and are surprisingly elegant looking and sturdy for what they cost. I'd expect to pay $100 for a set of stands like these, not the +/- $60 I paid for them.

Assembly is straight forward but you MUST take care not to bend the center support bar when assembling. My kid got a hold of one of the center support struts and bent it ever-so-slightly (he held it by both ends and applied bending force... kid is a one man wrecking crew... but these shouldn't bend under normal handling). The result was one of the stands was difficult to assemble because the exposed thread on the bottom of the stand wasn't quite long enough to secure the washer and nut. I fixed this by disassembling, repairing the slight bend, and re-assembling. Be careful not to scrape the paint on the bottom of the bottom glass support part because any scratches will show through (I put a tiny scrape in the paint with the included assembly wrench).

Notes: Be sure to fully tighten and secure the center support bar that runs along the inside of the stand as that's the main support for the whole assembly. Also be sure to run your speaker wires through the stands DURING assembly or you will have to fish them through and it'd be difficult with thicker speaker wire because of the center support bar. If you wait to run your cables you may have to disassemble the stands to get them through.

Overall these things look amazing and do an awesome job for what they cost. I have them tucked away in corners where it'd be hard to knock them over, but I might be concerned with kids around and their stability (with heavier speakers on them) if you plan on leaving them in places where kids can knock them over.

I recently upgraded my turntable from an Audio Technica LP-60 to a Pro-Ject Debut Carbon Espirt. Everyone always says having the speakers on the same surface as your turnable is bad for sound quality. Since I was already upgrading, I figured it was time to do something about the speakers sitting on the same shelf. What I liked most about these were how easy they were to set up. They are lightweight, but sturdy. Even after placing them, I was able to easily move them. Instructions are clearly labeled and they can both be assembled in 10 mins tops.

I have a paid of Edifier bookshelf speakers that fit perfectly on top. There's actually a bit of room left in case I do want to upgrade these to something bigger. While I can't speak for if moving them made a difference, I will say that they sound fantastic. I also like the look of having the speakers off to the side. My one knock would be the price. I thankfully caught a lighting deal on these. With that, plus a $10 off coupon currently out there, I paid around $46 for these. That felt like the right price for them. At $60+, I would say wait for a sale.

Overall, I'm very happy with these. If you need a low-effort solution for moving your speakers off of the same surface as your turntable, these will do the trick.

More than adequate stability for KRK Classic 5. Stands look attractive and have a solid, heavy feel. When ordering these I chose these b/c they looked good & sturdy in the photo, but I failed to read the description carefully enough and ended up overlooking the fact that there is no height adjustment, and also that the base plates and top plates are made of glass, rather than steel. As such, they are fragile, and need to be handled much more carefully than metal stands. They also require careful assembly esp when torquing the bolts for the poles onto the plates. When assembling these, I noticed that the holes cut in the center of the glass plates were quite a bit larger than the bolt diameter, resulting in more play than there should be in a structural joint area. To eliminate the gap, I made a rubber sheath to go around the ends of the bolts where they go through the holes. Other than that, the flared flange around the base of the post is made of a rather thin plastic, so it is not going to be as robust as it looks in the photos. In my case, I do not plan to move these around once they are set up in the room, so I decided to keep them. However, I plan to go back and reinforce all the fragile attachment points on the glass parts w/ JB Weld, just to be on the safe side.

Having moved on from a couple of large front speakers on rather bulky stands I needed to find some "lower profile" stands for my new Polk Signature Series S15 speakers and these stands fully do the trick. I had a couple of specific worries when choosing these stands. First, the glass tops which are close to the same size as the footprint of the speaker and I feared that they may slide off, but, the stands include rubber pads that affix to the top of the glass top and they really grab the bottom of my speakers. With the sliding worry eliminated, my other worry, that the stands may not be stable was also proven not to be an issue. The unit itself is really stable and the glass trapezoid base provides good support. My stands are on a carpeted floor. The included rubber feet that attach to the bottom of the speaker stand are about 3/4 of an inch and settled perfectly into the carpet giving me a flat installation that does not slide around.
The glass finish and black matte stand look great and the stands give me the security and stability I was looking for.
I would highly recommend these speaker stands.

As my new TV now takes up the entire width of my TV stand, I needed some stands for my left and right channel speakers.

I didn't want to spend a fortune on speaker stands, plain and simple. Do they meet my needs? Yes. Very solidly built and was easy to assemble. 20 minutes combined for both stands. Only one screw to tighten at the end and they even provide the tool for it. Seems with that, you would figure they would be flimsy. Nope, not whatsoever.

Yea, I am sure you get your money's worth and the more expensive stands have their perks. The other nice flashy wood ones I saw look nice, but it depends how much you want to spend.

But these are very nice. Not an eye sore at all. They don't look or cheapen my home theater room. No weird rattling sounds when watching movies or listen to music loud, which I usually do. Also very sturdy and I don't feel like my speakers are in any danger from falling over as I read in reviews of some other stands on here.

Very solid purchase with no regrets.

Top plate shattered after a year

I absolutely loved these stands until this weekend, when in the middle of the night I heard glass shattering. The next morning confirmed what had happened: the tempered glass top plate had basically exploded, sending glass all over my living room.

I had not touched these stands in over a year and had a pair of very light Polk bookshelf speakers on them. Nothing fell on them, and there was no reason for this to occur. I take very good care of all of my gear and it was surprising this had happened.

Thankfully the glass was tempered so cleanup was not hard, but now I’m left with one useless stand.

I bought these because they said the mounting plate was steel; it was glass just like the bottom plate. Returned them and got 'mounting dream speaker stands' pre-drilled to hard mount my Polk T-15 speakers.

The stands came 2 days sooner than expected. Assembly was a snap (maybe 10-15 to do both). I originally had the speakers on the floor but now they’re near ear level and it makes a huge difference. An added bonus is that the materials match my tv stand, which made me very happy. The stands are very sturdy though I do have solid flooring, not carpeting. I also was able to get the stands on a quick deal purchase so I saved an additional 15% off. The wire management in the post also is nice to keep the speaker wires mostly hidden. I’d recommend these stands.

Ok so let’s get out of the way that when you open the box the do seem a little cheaply made. After I put them together and place the speakers on I saw how sturdy they were and they looked great. I’ve seen stands for over 300 so you do get what you pay for but a word of advice is don’t over tighten the nut on the base and maybe run the wires before you put the base on. The instructions aren’t the best but assembly is pretty straightforward. I really do like them
