4.0 de 5 estrellas Awesome speakers, but.....
Revisado en Canadá el 2 de diciembre de 2020

If Elac hadn't cheaped out on the magnetic grilles and the finish (both of which the original version had, and was nicer, respectively), I would have given these a five star rating. The binding posts are also cheap feeling and don't instill confidence. The posts on the original version look much more substantial. Did Elac have to take features away from the originals in order to improve upon them? Bottom line is that these are worth every penny to anyone looking to spend this kind of money on a pair of stand-mount speakers. However I have to think that Elac could have opened up the purse strings a little and gone the extra way in making these a truly "complete" product.

4.0 de 5 estrellas Smooth sounding but for $200 more get me LS50 which is in a different league.
Revisado en Canadá el 25 de agosto de 2021

These speakers are very smooth sounding, very refined, very flat response throughout the frequency spectrum. But on the other hand, it's not as exciting as a pair of Klipsch RP-600M per se. The price point can't really be justified as a pair of LS50 were available for $200 more. The KEFs are a big step better in materials/build quality. They beat these Elacs in both dynamic and soundstage even they share the same coaxial design and both designed by Andrew Jones.
Alas, you do need a very nice amp to drive the LS50 whereas these Elacs are easy to drive with most amps.
The bass extension from these are good for their small form factor. But personally I enjoy that 35Hz coming from my pair of large TABAQ that I built. These Elacs do produce bass around 40Hz. I would have kept them as my daily music speakers if their price dropped by a big margin. But for movie, I still prefer a pair of Klipsch over these.

4.0 de 5 estrellas Good value, but could be better

If you thought the first UNI-Fi bookshelf was lacking in upper mid and high freq dynamics and sparkle, then you will love this speakers. ELAC definately improved the dynamics and response of the freqs above 1k on this bookshelf.
It is solid built and has a very good overall sound.
BUT... it is about $650 and they did nothing to stretch the BASS performance on this. I really wish they would have increased the box size a little, increased the Driver to hopefully get this design down to 30s Hz range. Other speakers that to me are worth a listen in this price range. Triangle Borea Bro3, Wharfedale diamond 11.2, Tekton Mini Lore and NHT C3

4.0 de 5 estrellas Glad I bought - glad I didn't keep

Do your own listening tests. Powered by Denon x3600h. Compared to Martin Logan LX16 via two A/Bs. Switched speakers between the A/B to see if that helped. I've had the MLs for a few years - they are "burned in". Ran the Elacs for a week with varying music and they the most workout on Bach organ music.
In all music stereo listening (I listen two speaker direct for music) the LX16s were better (to my ears). They were more musical across the board from bass to treble. For HT movie only you don't need a whole lot - for this comparison the Elacs and MLs were equal. I have an NHT subwoofer for explosive punch.
I said I had two A/Bs. One was via the receiver. The other was my wife in another room - she could tell which speaker set was in use and picked the LX16s as "better" for her listening.
So - the Elaxs went back.

4.0 de 5 estrellas Great speakers

Saw these and listened to a lesser model of ELAC at Best Buy couple weeks back. My speakers Phase Tech PC80 are pretty old, although they still sound pretty good. Hard to compare with Best Buy sound room vs at my home, so I first purchased Klipsch and brought home; could not tell difference with the Phase Tech's so I returned the Klipsch, and purchased these ELAC's after couple emails with their team, where they were telling me how nice this particular speaker sounded...Best Buy did not carry this 2.0 model. When I received these from Amazon, I again, could not tell much difference over my speakers, so I sent back. My wife and I thought our existing speakers are fine now that we have compared them to ELAC's. Staying with Phase Techs for now. I also compared to the 2.1 Reference ELAC's; same outcome.

4.0 de 5 estrellas Good, but you can find better for the money.

The uni-fi 2.0's are good speakers. They are bright and full sounding. They definitely thickened the box material and they feel solid and heavy duty. They can also eat a lot of power, but the downside is that the require a lot of power to sound good. They are 6 ohm speakers, put next to an 8 ohm def tech bipolar sr9080 they def techs are much louder with the same input . For $300 a speaker I'd say I'm not that impressed, there are a lot of options in that pricepoint. If you can get these for closer to $200 a speaker I think you got a good deal and would be very happy, but at $300 a speaker I would pass.

4.0 de 5 estrellas NICE COMPACT 3-WAY BOOKSHELF
Reseñado en los Estados Unidos el 21 de marzo de 2022
Estilo: AltavocesCompra verificada
Nice sounding, compact 3-way speaker. Using as surround speakers in a 7.2.4 system topped with matching ELAC Atmos modules. Very clear and distinct with outstanding clarity. Powering them with Emotiva XPA generation 3 amp (275watts), runing through Denon AVRX-6700. Will see how they further improve after some hours of use. Only negative is crappy speaker grills...

4.0 de 5 estrellas Needs power.
Reseñado en los Estados Unidos el 16 de febrero de 2022
Estilo: AltavocesCompra verificada
I bought elac unifi 2.0, kef q350, Polk r200. Used an AB switcher. The elac was third place. Elac could use some boundary reinforcement meaning that it had less bass than the other two. It was the least efficient of the three inefficient speakers, meaning that it needs 100 Watts or more or sit close to them. The highs are rolled off slightly. It's a good sounding speaker just needs power a little EQ and some boundary reinforcement.
