The Polk Audio Sound Bar wasn’t in my house for two days before I returned it. The sound bar has to be hooked to Alexa to work, it is not optional. If you don’t hook it to Alexa it keeps making announcements that it has to be hooked to the internet. I don’t use Alexa so I didn’t want to have to listen to the sound bar tell me it needed to be hooked to the internet at 2 AM, yes it really did that. The Polk support was non-existing and when I called the Help Line from Amazon the technician grew as frustrated as I was and he suggested I return it. Whoever designed the interface for the consumer had no idea that someone might not want to hook their sound-bar to Alexa. Don’t buy this item it is really bad...
While I really love the Polk React Soundbar, the surround speakers are disappointing. I have to set the volume to max to even hear them. And even more disappointing, I hear nothing from them when watching TV. Unlike my old Pioneer receiver and speakers which had great surround sound on TV, the Polk surround speakers are silent. They do work well with Netflix and movies, and they are really great when listening to music. If I had it to do again, I would buy the Soundbar and skip the surround speakers. I am hopeful Polk will fix this in a software update. And in case you wonder, I have tinkered with all the settings on my TV, and I am aware that you get the most sound from the surround speakers by turning down the "voice" volume setting and turning up the main volume.
I have had these for a little while and at first i thought they paired up and was working. Since that first day nothing. I have tried to pair them again and nothing. These may be good speakers if i could get hem to work. i tried emailing Polk and have not heard back from them yet. Not sure what to do. If anyone has any suggestion please let me know cause right now they are paperweights.
