Product works perfectly fine to play or sequence individual devices or multiple devices up to 3(in my case). At 4 devices I start getting intermittently skipped notes and at 5 it starts to become a mess. If you have many devices you may need two.
EDIT- If I turn off clock sync and use it purely as a pass through for my sequencer to send notes I can sequence all of my devices with no issue. A little annoying but a passing workaround.
Plugged this in and it worked as expected. Build quality seems good. This is really something that I will basically set and forget as it sits in the back of my rack.
Only downside is that it doesn't come with the part that you plug into the wall (which I didn't have any extras hanging around) so I plugged it into a USB hub. I thought the cord it came with would be too short for that (I do have extra cords hanging around) but that actually worked out perfectly, so I'm a happy camper.
I gave value 3 stars because, for what this is, I don't understand why a Thru box would cost so much, but they all cost too much IMO, but this was the least offender of that.
The labels on mine were printed incorrectly. The side with POWER IN was actually all MIDI-thru ports and the Midi-In + POWER IN side was label all MIDI-thru. It was incredibly confusing and took me a minute to figure out. The only reason I was able to figure it out is because one of the MIDI-thru ports was actually a USB and it didn't make any sense.
Other than that it does work, it was just extremely frustrating to set-up figure out that it had the error during the manufacturing process.
