As a drummer, I was excited to try out these cymbals at my next band rehearsal. You know, I’m quite pleased with how they look and sound. Even my fellow band mates liked them. Very easy on the ears when playing in a basement rehearsal. I recommend these for any drummer. Even comes with a well built cymbal bag and quick clips. After playing with them for awhile, I’ve found the crashes sound pretty good. However, two things I would’ve liked. First would be the hats to sound a bit darker. I found them to be a tad bit too tinny. Second would be a better sounding bell on the ride. Other than that, again I’m happy with them and will continue to use them. Great for small room rehearsals, or practicing on your own and still want that hard cymbal feel, and even ideal for small venue gigs, such as coffee shops or lounges where you don’t want overpowering cymbals.

These are a little louder than your brand name low-volume cymbals, but I prefer it that way. These could be used for smaller gigs and still actually be heard.

The ride bell is fairly flat, but you can still get a great sound out of it. The crashes have some actual projection and clearly distinct sound. The hi hats are a little tinny, but nothing that gets in the way. These are heavier duty than brand name cymbals, and I don’t have a fear of breaking them.

A full-size, quality setup at this price point is ridiculous. Under $200 CDN delivered, at my door in seven days with a bag included. Unreal deal, already recommending these to every drummer I know.

Definitely not bad for the money! It’s not an issue for me, but I don’t think these are quiet enough to me played in an apartment & not piss your neighbours off. If you’re looking for super quiet go with the L80’s but all things considered these are pretty damn good. Sound isn’t bad, they’re pretty bright and the hi hats are a pretty tinny. They’re durable too, I’ve beaten the hell out of mine and they feel solid. All things considered, if you adjust your expectations based on the price you will be happy.

I got these because I play in my basement and needed a quiet set of cymbals. these are perfect. great sound especially if I use brushes instead of drumsticks which works because I have a cajon drum set. stacked up the crash and ride cymbals and I'm good to go. if you want value for money this is it.

if you’re like me you’re a drummer exploring the option of playing quiet cymbals as an alternative to regular cymbals for practice. I have compared Zildjian and Sabian name brands at the local music store then i came across this package. I must say for the price I had to try em’ so I purchased and now my order is on route. These are made in China and so are the name brands so I’m curious to see how they feel and sound and will come back and update my comments. Stay tuned!

11/6/21, Update- Ladies and gentlemen I Got em’ and they are FANTASTIC! skip the brand name version, buy these for practice, save $ for those ‘cymbals’ you really want to play live!

These don't sound very good out of the box, and even with their low volume the bright sound of them really makes them unpleasant to listen to. However, there is a very simple solution: spray paint. I experimented with a few different methods and I found the best thing to do is just paint the underside with 2 light coats. The paint will wear off of the top but just painting the bottom is enough to give them a darker more pleasant tone as well as dampen some of the sustain so they end up being quieter as well. If you're willing to do a little DIY, these are great for the money.

Great practice cymbals on a budget

I bought these for my partner as a holiday gift since she had talked excitedly about some practice cymbals her drum instructor uses. As she and I are in a band and we practice in our home, the practice cymbals sounded (get it?) like a good idea! After all, we'd tried cymbal mutes in the past, but those masked the drum performance a bit too much. She was happily surprised by the gift and we excitedly installed them and tried them out with a quick jam session. Given they are many hundreds of dollars less expensive than the name-brand practice cymbals, we had very low expectations, but we LOVE these things. They sound like cymbals - just not with quite the same power that whacking her standard Sabians provide. The power of the drum performance is still maintained and the cymbals ring true, just without the ear-splitting power of a full cymbal. I can't imagine any way that more expensive practice cymbals could be any better - so for the money, I would strongly recommend these. I wish drummers in my past bands had used them...I might have a little less tinnitus now!

I'm getting back into drumming after a long break and never liked loud cymbals to begin with so the price and low-volume intrigued me to start out after the big investment in shells and hardware. To my surprise, they sound amazing and have just the right volume. I'm only using the hats and ride for now, but the hats are crispy and responsive and the ride has a nice ping and overall noise. You won't get a huge bell sound off it, but that's to be expected. I'm even using them to record with overhead mics and it's a perfect mix. This is a great value and you won't be disappointed. And I think they look pretty cool on my set as well and have gotten some comments (not as cool as a set of Z's but it's also $700 cheaper!)
