Don't trust the positive reviews. Recording quality is poor.

There are a lot of positive reviews gushing over this camera and some of them actually include images OF the camera but no video taken WITH the camera.

As a rule of thumb, if you see a camera that says it records 1080p video at 15fps you want to avoid it. Slower frame rates mean jerky, low quality recordings. This isn't the camera you want to use if you're recording anything of any real importance. You can adjust the camera to record 720p video at 30fps but it still looks terrible.

Audio quality is respectable but not great.

The zoom is digital, not optical so the image you zoom in on is going to appear very pixelated.

It fell from our coffee table a few weeks after purchase - a fall of approximately 11 inches from coffe table to a carpeted floor and parts flew out and is now garbage
parts came out the spring holding battery popped out so we can even charge it
And the videos cannot any longer be viewed
Thankfully we can take the memory card out
It was cheaper than most so I didn’t expect much -however it wasn’t that cheap for it to break to the point of inoperable
And in the few weeks of use we may have used in 6 times(briefly) I DO NOT RECOMMEND this camera
I purchased it for my son, but won’t be purchasing this brand ever again

I bought this camera for my 6 year old daughter who’s currently into “vlogging”. For the price the image quality is good. Image gets a bit blurry when filming from far and zoomed in but from close its fine and image is clear and bright. Perfect image wasn’t expected. The battery does die fairly quickly. We charged it overnight for about 8hours before first use as mentioned in the specs and after 2 - 11min videos it died. It was a bummer as we were vlogging her birthday activities and weren’t able to capture much.

As for the SD formatting, it states it supports up to 128GB which is false. We weren’t able to format it after multiple tries. We came back to read more reviews and I saw that formatting 128gb seemed to be an issue with others as well. After further looking online on other websites selling the same camera we saw many reviews who mentioned that the camera formatted fine with a 32Gb SD. So we bought a 32gb SD and it finally formatted and videos were saved. The camera itself also states on the sticker “supports 32gb” but the product here advertises that it has been upgraded to support up to 128gb and they responded to a customer who questioned the sticker on the camera stating 32gb and they said they needed to update that on their end.

My 2 stars are for the hassle of buying 2 different SD cards to finally get a supported SD and battery life.

While this camera, is user friendly, and a decent price, I feel most of the positive 5 star reviewers come from customers who were compensated with an Amazon gift card to write a 5 star reward (which is quite nice) however, the camera can act up. We owned this camera for less than two months and had only used it a handful of times when the screen went out. We tried everything the user manual suggested along with google/YouTube. Still, nothing worked. After speaking with amazon customer service I was referred to the seller who literally told me to just reconfigure the SD card and “have a nice day” which I had already done. The reason I’m giving this 2 stars is for Amazon. There customer service stepped up and helped after the seller refused to help.

Unfortunately, this camcorder did not work for my needs. It does not connect to a new MacBook Pro (it needs a direct USB port, which new Macs don't have). Additionally, I tried recording two 50 minute segments. Upon reviewing the recordings (had to put the SD card in a port adapter), the 50 minute segments were cut into 13 minute frames, and within that, only 6 minutes were actually viewable, and the remaining minutes were frozen. I missed a lot of content. It was very challenging for me to find any customer support info direct for Kimire, and it was only because they emailed me to finish my warranty information and to encourage me to write a review, that I received their email address: support@kimire.com. They stated, "The camera adopts FAT32 file system. This type of file system has a built-in limitation on the size of the files that it may contain. The size of each individual file may not exceed 4GB. That's why it divides into several files." I hope this information helps other customers when researching their purchase.

I'm going to keep trying to play with it and make it better but the quality of the video is so bad. I expected the camera to be light and plastic which it is but expected better out of the video quality with all the high reviews.

Every time the battery is changed the date must be set. When recording an hour show, and the battery dies half way through, it’s a pain to have to try and reset the date and time. Everything goes back to factory settings. Not worth the hassle

Edit- the buttons for the zoom don't work well and the microphone is poor. No option to use an external mic.
